  • Not that you knew about anyways…

Frenetic stuff this game… but again like the rest of the games… players trying too hard to swing the ball and ‘play fast’… I reckon the RSA sides would do well to continue playing not too dissimilarly to last season… there is no reason the game cannot be a bit more structured if they so choose… Sharks could kicked a few more out for lineouts, rolled a few more mauls and taken a few more scrums…

    It’ll stuff some teams…

  • Sharks need to realise that their strengths are still very much with the forwards. That backline is potent, sure, but better to use it from 22 meters out, rather than 75.

    10-3 now. Another Beale penalty.

    Howzit KSA

  • “I reckon the RSA sides would do well to continue playing not too dissimilarly to last season”

On attack that is… defending teams are spreading themselves so much wider this season… a few more sniping runs down the middle by the loosies would open gaps with no-one left defending…

Both sides are starting to ring the changes with Paku and Tialata on for the Hurricanes, while Benn Robinson and Luke Burgess are the fresh Waratahs men.

Both sides throwing the ball around with little structure – whichever side gains their compsure soonest could get away with the four points.

Beau Robinson also on the field now for Rocky Elsom, with Ewen McKenzie using Waugh and Robinson in tandem as he did to great effect in the Rotomahana Challenge.

Craig Clarke has taken the field for the Hurricanes, replacing debutant Jeremy Thrush.
