Rubbing further salt into the wounds caused by Schalk Burger’s suspension is the news that the Stormers may well have to make do without two further players this weekend.
Apparently, both Gcobani Bobo and JD Moller are nursing bumps from the Sharks match and neither is a definite starter for the impending clash against the high-riding Crusaders. Coach Erasmus seems pretty confident that they’ll make it, though, which is good news, considering he has virtually no depth at prop. The situation at centre is not a lot better, with Dylan des Fountain unlikely to make as much of an impact as Bobo would.
Expect Rassie to shift Luke Watson back to 6 to make up for Burger’s unavailability. The talk is that Robbie Diack should come in at the back of the scrum.
Not the sort of moves that are likely to give Robbie Deans too many nightmares, anyway. Deans has made a number of statemens in the press indicating that the Stormers are “desperate and dangerous”. I think he’s bluffing. He knows his team have far too much in the tank to stand any realistic chance of losing this one.Tweet
