A round of consolidation, where some of the front runners really started to hit their straps and ease away from the chasing pack. It was also the first week when the all-important Grand Slam Points started to be a factor. Let’s have a look at the standings in our very own Sharksworld pool in the score prediction game over at www.superbru.com.
Game 15: Hurricanes v Chiefs
The home side won this encounter by twenty points, prevailing 39-19. Pretty much everyone went with a Canes win, but only Villie was adventurous enough with his prediction to snag a margin point. His prediction of Cames by 16 netted him the bonus as well, totaling an impressive 2.5 for this game.
Game 16: Lions v Force
The Lions were robbed, but at least those who backed them to win by a small enough margin got the scant consolation of a margin point. Villie yet again took all the points on offer, by predicting the exact result of the Force by 2. 16-18 was the final score here.
Game 17: Stormers v Crusaders
Ok, so the Stormers did well to limit the high-riding Saders to a 22-0 victory. A fair few of us erred on the high-side, expecting something closer to a 35 or 40-point differential. Most got the winner right, but it was PissAnt, Sandshark and shark_time who shared the bonus here for getting the exact difference. Not bad – two of our contributors in there!
Game 18: Highlanders v Waratahs
This was a tough one to pick and the away side eventually prospered by 15 point to 12, leaving a winning margin of 3. About half the pool got the right result, bit tipster extroadinarie Ghost10 got the margin spot on, all by himself, to help himself to a full-house of 2.5 points for this game.
Game 19: Brumbies v Reds
A runaway victory for the Convict Cavalry: Brumbies 43, Reds 11. Most picked the Brumbies to win, but nobody in their wildest dreams imagined a 32-point hiding. No margin points at all, but well done to Kandas for picking up the bonus for being closest, with Brumbies by 19.
Game 20: Cheetahs v Blues
After what the Blues did to the Lions last weekend, most picked them to prevail by a hefty margin and they weren’t disappointed, as the Aucklanders ran out 50-26 winners, a margin of 24. A fair few margin points dished out here, but it was Bru-El who bagged the full house for getting it absolutely spot on.
Game 21: Bulls v Sharks
They say fortune favours the brave and it was blackshark who took all the points on offer here for his exact prediction of Sharks by 14. 29-15 was the final result, which most of the pool got pretty close to.
Congrats to Debs, KSAKette, Villie, Ghost10, ZinZan, Sharkie, SauronShark and yours truly, all of whom bagged an ultra-sweet 2 extra points for getting all 7 winners right this week.
PostmanPat and Ghost10 are still in the top 3 this week (although now Ghost10 is on top and starting to pull away), but bragging rights must go to this week’s MVP, Villie, who scored 13.5 points in total to surge into second place.

We finally have a Sharksworld contributor in the Top 10 – thanks to me paying close attention to Ghost10′s superb predictions.
