It seems as if Naka Drotske either has not learnt yet or is giving Falie Oelschig a last chance.

In another surprising move Conrad Barnard is being played ahead of Jacques-Louis Potgieter. Potgieter has not even made the bench for the match against the Hurricanes at Kimberley.

Tewys de Bruin has moved to the bench to create an opening for Oelschig.

The only other change in the team sees much missed leader Juan Smith take over the reigns again and Hendro Scholts moving to the bench.

Starting XV:Hennie Daniller; Eddie Fredericks, JW Jonker, Meyer Bosman, Jongi Nokwe; Conrad Barnard, Falie Oelschig; Duanne Vermeulen, Juan Smith (Capt), Heinrich Brussow, Barend Pieterse, Rory Duncan, CJ van der Linde, Adriaan Strauss, Wian du Preez.
Reserves: Richardt Strauss, Bees Roux, David de Villiers, Hendro Scholtz, Tewis de Bruyn, Bevin Fortuin, Hendrik Meyer.

  • I am a Potgieter fan so am rather shocked by this selection.

  • Apparently potgieter has a groin or some other problem.

Where did you hear that, rather sad news IMO.

The Cheetahs site says nothing about it though.

  • I see the Cheetahs’ team doctor, Dr. Org Strauss has been been bought by the Bulls. I wonder what has happened to Tommie Smook. The current Bulls doctor.

  • I find that very surprising actually.

The day before yesterday the Cheetahs were still trying to decide which would be the better flyhalf to play against the Hurricanes.

either way i hope he is not seriously injured if he is.

  • From Cheetah site.

Ask if you need translations. ;wink:

Dit moet verder in Barnard se guns tel.

  • Well De Bruyn is hopeless so I don’t see that he had any option!
