Well this is it, there can be only one. Which one will it be?

The Waratahs will hope to finally win another one in Christchurch, they have not won there since 2004 which is also the last time they managed to beat the Crusaders.

They have met in one final previously, and that was in 2005. The Crusaders walked away with the trophy after a 35 – 25 home victory.

Who will be able to say “We are the Champions” this year?

  • i see most are playing it safe with the crusaders and history, but it looks to me as if Waugh and the Tahs are more focused and i think Burgess is a lot better than Ellis. i suppose Mcdonald and Carter may tip the balance the Saders way, but i doubt it

  • Did anyone see who the Man of the Match was?

Well done Crusaders, but the Waratahs really missed Beale, he was great when he was on.

  • Beale or no Beale, Crusaders were the better side and showed why they are the most successful side in Super rugby history.
Where the Sharks were murdered at the breakdown by the Tahs, the Crusaders did a number on the Tahs. McCaw and Reed completely dominated this aspect and Palu and Elsom were hammered back in the tackle. Crusaders lineout was also surprisingly solid. When it comes to the crunch the big players in the Crusaders stand up..guys like McCaw, Carter, McDonald etc

  • Just back from watching some schools rugby, EG Jansen beat Hugenote 79-8…the match will be on Supersport in 2 or 3 weeks time as one of the FNB classic clashes. Not that it was that classic, was a bit one-sided. LOL!
11 of the EG Jansen players are in the starting 15 for the Valke Cravenweek side.

EG Jansen is in Boksburg. They are this year’s Super 16 champs, beat Monument 13-10 in the final. 11 of their players are in the Starting 15 for the Valke Craven week side.
