Naka Drotske continues to rebuild the Free State Cheetahs rugby team. It is reported that he has extended the contracts of two Boks, Hendro Scholtz and Kabamba Floors.
News 24 reports this after Floors was linked to Western Province and there was some uncertainty if the experienced Scholtz would finish off his career in Europe.
Although they are not the youngest around anymore, their experience will be invaluable to the Cheetahs with youngsters like “Magic Robert” Ebersohn (centre), Wilton Pietersen (utility back), Coenie Oosthuizen (prop), PW van Vuuren (hooker) and Ashley Johnson (loose forward) all coming through the ranks.
OFM Sport reported that Floors will be a Cheetah till the end of 2011, while Scholtz will be available for at least till the end of 2009.
Floors justifies his contract with some brilliant play against the Sharks and the Falcons. He will also be a key player in Saturday’s Currie Cup clash against the Boland Cavaliers in Wellington. Scholtz will be back in action for next weekend’s big local OFM Cup Challenge against Griquas in Bloemfontein.Tweet
