Both Jacque Fourie and Bakkie Botha will play no further part in this year’s Tri-Nations or Currie Cup competitions.
The pair sustained season-ending injuries in the Boks’ recent thumping of Argentina, with Botha rupturing a posterior knee ligament and Fourie breaking his cheekbone. Botha will not require surgery, but Fourie will. Each player is looking at a minimum of 2 months on the sidelines, in any case.
Bulls lock Danie Rossouw has been called up to cover for Botha, while Sharks phenom Frans Steyn will come in as cover for Fourie.Tweet
