Here we Go Stormers , Here We Go

Could get old very quickly couldn’t it?

The Stormers have finally ditched Here We Go Stormers here we go and have managed to score a bonafide supporters song.

Dravid Kramer, Emo Adams, Cheree and Christo Snyman collaberated to put together the track.

More info to follow(if i can find more info) but here are the lyrics

Die wind kan waai
Die reën kan val
Stormers issie bangie
Hulle vat daai bal
ulle skop hom hier
Hulle pass hom daar
Die anner span se manne
Raak deurmekaar

Stormers!
Stormers!
Elke man is ’n performer
Bliksem!
Donner!
Oppas oppas virrie Stormers

Come rain or snow
The wind can blow
The weather doesn’t bother a good stormer
He’ll ruck an’ maul
Jump for the ball
And then he’s gonna druk it in the corner

Stormers!
Stormers!
Elke man is ‘n performer
Bliksem!
Donner!
Oppas oppas virrie Stormers

Vattie saxophone
En ’n ou trombone
Slat a ghoema rhythm oppie tromme
Put your hands in the air
And shout Ahwê!
O’se team is mossie Stormers

  • Correction to the following line please:
    “Hulle skop hom hier
    Hulle pass hom daar
    Die anner span se manne
    Raak Deurmekaar.”

    “Die anner” should read “Ons.”

I saw him in the District Six some years ago – one seriously talented dude(with the whole cast) is Emo and its good to see him making a name for himself as a solo artist.
I just hope that this new Stormers song doesnt damage his reputation.

  • All together now.

THE MOUSTACHE ON HIS LIP IS PENCIL THIN
LIKE THE MIDDLE PATH THROUGH HIS HAIR
AND ALTHOUGH HIS FRIENDS CALL HIM BLOKKIES
HIS WIFE WOULD CALLS HIM JOUBERT

AG CHRISTINA CHRISTINA HE THINKS TO HIMSELF, YOU NEVER COULD UNDERSTAND
WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO DUMMY AND TO SIDESTEP
WITH A LEATHER BALL IN YOUR HANDS

MAN IT’S HARD TO BELIEVE THIS IS BLOKKIES JOUBERT
THE HOOKER IN THE SPRINGBOK SCRUM
CAUSE HE’S OLD AND GREY AND HE SITS IN HIS CHAIR
    IN THE SLANTING WINTER SUN
BUT HE MADE HIS NAME WITH THAT WONDERFUL GAME THAT HE PLAYED
    IN 1931

WELL HE SITS IN THE LOUNGE OF THE OLD AGE HOME
JUST A NORTH OF BEAUFORT WEST
AND HE WATCHES A T.V. PROGRAM OF THE SPRINGBOK RUGBY TEST
AS THE IMAGES FLICKER UPON THE SCREEN HE CAN HEAR THE MANNE CALL
THEY SAY HAK HOM HAK HOM BLOKKIES, BLOKKIES HAK DAAI BALL
    EN ONS SÊ:
DRUK HULLE, DRUK HULLE BOKKIES, DRUK HULLE MANNETJIES FLOU
HAK HULLE HAK BLOKKIES, HAK HULLE BOLLETJIE GOU
LIG JULLE KNIEE DRUK JULLE DRIEE DAAR AGTER DIE DOELLYN NOU

HE SITS THERE IN THE AFTERNOON SUN, HIS MEMORIES COME AND GO
HE CAN CLEARLY RECALL BENNIE OSLER AND BOY AND FANIE LOUW
YES, THERE THEY STAND WITH THE REST OF THE TEAM
IN THE PHOTOGRAPH ON THE WALL
AND IF YOU ASK HIM HE WILL SHOW YOU WHERE THEY SIGNED ON HIS RUGBY BALL

    EN ONS SÊ:
DRUK HULLE, DRUK HULLE BOKKIES, DRUK HULLE MANNETJIES FLOU
HAK HULLE HAK BLOKKIES, HAK HULLE BOLLETJIE GOU
LIG JULLE KNIEE DRUK JULLE DRIEE DAAR AGTER DIE DOELLYN NOU

JA ONS OUENS WAS ROF IN DIE OU DAE BUT WE PLAYED THE GENTLEMAN’S GAME
BUT IT’S ALL BEEN SPILLED BY POLITICS NEVER GOING TO BE THE SAME
SO HE DRIFTS BACK TO THE OLD DAYS AS HE HEARS THE MANNE CALL
THEY SAY, HAK HOM, HAK HOM BLOKKIES, BLOKKIES HAK DAAI BALL

    EN ONS SÊ:
DRUK HULLE, DRUK HULLE BOKKIES, DRUK HULLE MANNETJIES FLOU
HAK HULLE HAK BLOKKIES, HAK HULLE BOLLETJIE GOU
LIG JULLE KNIEE DRUK JULLE DRIEE DAAR AGTER DIE DOELLYN NOU

    EN ONS SÊ:
DRUK HULLE, DRUK HULLE BOKKIES, DRUK HULLE MANNETJIES FLOU
HAK HULLE HAK BLOKKIES, HAK HULLE BOLLETJIE GOU

  • Fork, i wish they would can all the marketing bullshit and just get a decent curtain raiser prior to games – a gooed school boy game or something to that effect, save the money spent on this and invest in a few decent players…you know use the budgets wisely. That kind of thing.

Dont you think the Sharks under 21s giving the Boks a klap in a practice game is newsworthy?
Are there any match reports on the u19 and u21 games played last weekend? – we got the team sheets but thats where it ended.

That I also know but are there no reports of the games themselves and of our future stars.
Imagine a 3 days before a Springbok / Wallabies game and no news.

  • Talking about embellishing a story, I recently read about a competition in some village in the UK thats aim is to determine who can spin the biggest yarn. Its an amateur competition so they have banned lawyers and another profession (I cant remember which but its propbably estate agents) because they are deemed to be professional liers.

  • Hasbro has just released the results from the Monopoly Here and Now: World Edition and Cape Town has been confirmed as being third on the list. Cape Town will sit on the last Green square (DeVilliers or Bloubergstrand depending on which South African version you have) on the Monopoly board and will be rated as the third most expensive piece of property of the game.

After a long voting session at the beginning of the year the final results have been released; Montreal lies in first place with Riga in second and Cape Town in third.

Silver you get drums and you get drums thus the emphasis on REAL cowhide drums.
Rocks could be good though, I reckon all the bleeding hands and spattering blood and gunk from spectators thumping a rock in order to get a sound out of them should be enough to scare the living daylights out of the opposition.
