ABSA Currie Cup SF2: Blue Bulls (31) v FS Cheetahs (19) (F/T)

Written by Andre Bosch (KSA Shark ©)

Posted in :Bulls, Cheetahs, Currie Cup on 11 Oct 2008 at 12:00

The 2nd Semi-Final is also a repeat of last year’s match up with a change of venue though.

This year the Cheetahs have to travel to Fort Loftus to try and win the 2008 Currie Cup Semi-final.

Is it possible for the Cheetahs to get into their 5th consecutive Currie Cup final?

Or will the Bulls show that the Currie Cup has not really been the Currie Cup in the last few seasons?

Kick-off in Pretoria at 17:00 SA Time

Referee: Craig Joubert
ARs: Deon van Blommestein, Joey Salmans
TMO: Shaun Veldsman

Blue Bulls:
Starting XV: 15 Zane Kirchner, 14 John Mametsa, 13 Marius Delport, 12 Wynand Olivier, 11 Bryan Habana, 10 Morné Steyn, 9 Fourie du Preez, 8 Pierre Spies, 7 Wikus van Heerden, 6 Deon Stegmann, 5 Victor Matfield (captain), 4 Danie Rossouw, 3 Rayno Gerber, 2 Derick Kuün, 1 Gurthrö Steenkamp.

  • SuperBru picking statistics
Picks for Blue Bulls 13340 (87.11%)
    Picks for Cheetahs 1968 (12.85%)
    Picks for draw 6 (0.04%)

I am actually shocked that less people think the Cheetahs have a chance of winning than the Lions have a chance of winning.

  • Whistle went BEFORE the try OR the the sound picture sync is out.

Habana over for a try that is being refered.

I LOVE the Way Kobus Wiese cuts himself off mid sentence.

Classic example of the “momentum pass that i HATE so much.

Olivier passed 1m behind the 22. Haban caught 1m past the 22 and NO forward pass called.

    TRY AWRDED by the TMO.
