Rassie Erasmus, head coach of the Vodacom Stormers, on Wednesday announced his team to play Boland in a warm up match at Boland Stadium, Wellington, on Saturday 31 January.

Stormers coach Rassie Erasmus made a few changes to the side that beat Saracens from England in their first warm-up game at Newlands on Sunday, according to the Stormers website.

Nick Koster, a former SA Schools loose-forward who made his provincial debut for Vodacom WP at flank last year, will be running out at right wing. Dylan des Fountain and Morgan Newman are the new midfield combination, with regular captain Jean de Villiers named on the bench.

Big Tongan utility back Alipate Fatafehi will be starting on the left wing after getting a brief run from the bench on Sunday. Among the other changes is the return of Springbok Brian Mujati at tighthead prop and the selection of a new halfback pairing in Joe Pietersen and Dewaldt Duvenhage. AJ Venter will be the captain in the absence of De Villiers.

Kick-off is at 17h30. Tickets are R50 main stand reserved seats, Adults R30 (unreserved) and Scholars R10 and are on sale at Boland Stadium and Perel Sports Shop (021-872 9661) in Paarl.

As they did for the friendly match against Saracens, the Vodacom Stormers team will wear a unique jersey for this fixture. The predominantly white jersey carries the actual names of thousands of fans from around the world who had already signed up to the World Map on the Vodacom Stormers website (www.iamastormer.com ), prior to the 2009 season. The jersey will not be available for sale.

    Crowd support???

I heard an interview with Rassie the other day and both he and JDV felt Lukas had a very good game.

Scored a try and was involved in others… who cares what you Sharks supporters think anyway???

Have you ever heard Rassie or a Captain of the Stormers team say “So and So is a [email protected]@s and shouldn’t be on the field”?

probably not so I suspect we can’t REALLY take what they say as gospel. The crowd however at a stadium generally seem to convey the feelings of the masses.

Dont know much about Conraad Brits & George Earle. Hope he did not have family ties with Earle Rose.

Why is it that our best Vodacom cup player has been forced to leave Western Province to try his luck at the Brumbies? Or the fact that Alistair Swiggelaar being forced to go to the Lions, Gio Aplon having an uncertain future at WP (with the signing of Percy Montgomery), Rito Hlungwane (the promising UCT lock) now in the wliderness and that Paul Delport now having to play on the sevens circuit?

Rob actually discover him at Maties and rang Mallet to get him. Mallet also one for big players. Delport had a lot of changes and havent took them. Myself know Hoffmann & Duvenhage will grap them if they get the change.

Yea i think he played under Kobus at CC level and then a few games of S14 before Kobus panicked and dropped anyone under 5’7 and 90kg.

  • Also love test cricket. The others dont count in my books. Well a young team tomorrow and once again I think Athur (myself called him Mickey Mouse in the past but he prove me wrong) by picking the two young lefties sure show he do planning of this cricket squad. Thats the one we lacking now for a long time for variation in our bowling.

Dont watch that much local T20 and OD cricket but is quite surprise to see the amount of spinners coming through in our cricket. Cant remember the team that played the other day and even a leggie and taking wickets.

  • MEN DO REMEMBER ANNIVERSARIES?

A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in their bed.

She puts on her dressing gown and goes downstairs to look for him.

She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall.

She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.

‘What’s the matter, dear?’ she whispers as she steps into the room, ‘Why are you down here at this time of night?’

The husband looks up from his coffee, ‘I am just remembering when we first met 20 years ago and started dating. You were only 16. Do you remember back then?’ he says solemnly.

The wife is touched to tears thinking that her husband is so caring, so sensitive.

    ‘Yes, I do’ she replies.

The husband pauses. The words were not coming easily.

‘Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car?’

‘Yes, I remember!’ said the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.

The husband continues. ‘Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, ‘Either you marry my daughter, or I will send you to jail for 20 years?’

‘I remember that too’ she replies softly.

He wipes another tear from his cheek and says…

‘I would have been released today.’

  • These are genuine clips from English council complaint letters – so read and enjoy how others put their thoughts into words.

    1. My bush is really overgrown round the front and my back passage has fungus growing in it.

    2. He’s got this huge tool that vibrates the whole house and I just can’t take it anymore.

    3. It’s the dogs mess that I find hard to swallow.

    4. I want some repairs done to my cooker as it has backfired and burnt my knob off.

    5. I wish to complain that my father hurt his ankle, very badly, when he put his foot in the hole in his back passage.

    6. And their 18 year old son is continually banging his balls against my fence.

    7. I wish to report that tiles are missing from the outside toilet roof. I think it was bad wind the other night that blew them off.

    8. My lavatory seat is cracked, where do I stand?

    9. I am writing on behalf of my sink, which is coming away from the wall.

    10. Will you please send someone to mend the garden path? My wife tripped and fell on it, yesterday, and now she is pregnant.

    11. I request permission to remove my drawers in the kitchen.

    12. 50% of the walls are damp, 50% have crumbling plaster and 50% are plain filthy.

    13. I am still having problems with smoke in my new drawers.

    14. The toilet is blocked and we cannot bath the children until it is cleared.

    15. Will you please send a man to look at my water; it is a funny colour and not fit to drink.

    16. Our lavatory seat is broken in half and is now in three pieces.

    17. I want to complain about the farmer across the road; every morning at 6am his cock wakes me up and it’s now getting too much for me.

    18. The man next door has a large erection in the back garden, which is unsightly and dangerous.

    19. Our kitchen floor is damp. We have two children and would like a third, so please send someone round to do something about it.

    20. I am a single woman living in a downstairs flat and would you please do something about the noise made by the man on top of me every night.

    21. Please send a man with the right tool to finish the job and satisfy my wife.

    22. I have had the clerk of works down on the floor six times, but I still have no satisfaction.

    23. This is to let you know that our lavatory seat is broke and we can’t get BBC2
