This is it. The game that is going to make some of us smile and some of us eat BIG helpings of humble pie is here. And if you don’t have a ticket yet, then don’t bother going to Newlands.
Even though I am hungry, I know I don’t want to be in the pie camp this evening.
It seems that the anticipation in Cape Town has been immense. SOLD OUT signs are up. The Stormers Website has issued a statement that ALL tickets are sold out and that includes standing room tickets.
The Sharks and the Stormers have met 11 times in S14 history with the Stormers owning a narrow lead of 6 to 5. The Sharks have however won the last three encounters.
There has been much hype in the media surrounding this match with both coaches having frequent media campaigns to try and influence the referee.
From Rugby 365: Plumtree said victory will not be achieved through guile and brain power, or some airy-fairy tactics. The victory will be achieved by whoever dominates physically.
This promises to be one of the most physical matches of the weekend.
Will the Sharks manage to level the all time score? Or will the Stormers show that this is their season?
