Discarded Lions flyhalf Louis Strydomis in talks with the Cheetahs.

According to the OFM website Naka Drotske has confirmed that there are talks between the Cheetahs and Louis Strydom. Drotske has also confirmed that no contract has been signed.

Strydom apparently wants to move to Bloemfontein as he is only the third choice flyhalf at the Lions. He is currently in line behind Earl Rose and Andre Pretorius.

Steyn will bring much needed depth to the Cheetahs flyhalf berth should he be released by the Lions.

SW Note: Depending on which website you read will depend on how close to conclusion this deal is. The above is a direct translation from the “source” website that initially published the story.

  • If the Cheetahs conclude this deal I think they should move Bosman back to 12 and play JL Potgieter or Strydom at 10.
