Captain Mils Muliaina returns to the Chiefs line-up to take on the Highlanders in round five of the Rebel Sport Super 14 in Invercargill this Saturday night.

The Chiefs website reports that Muliaina has recovered from a back strain which saw him miss the last three Chiefs outings. He will combine with Lelia Masaga and Invercargill-born back James Wilson in the back three. Wilson will make his Chiefs debut at the weekend – a change that came about due to a shoulder injury to Sitiveni Sivivatu.

Richard Kahui remains at centre, but this Saturday he will combine with Jackson Willison at second five-eighth, while halfback Toby Morland gets the nod to start ahead of Brendon Leonard.

Chiefs coach Ian Foster said: “both the Chiefs and Highlanders are in similar circumstances coming into the game – both having enjoyed a win last weekend and both keen to secure a second win in this round.”

“We understand playing in Invercargill will be tough and the weather forecast is not that great so this encounter will be a huge test of character for us.”

“We want to build on our previous two weeks performances where we have been progressing well.”
