Bulls fullback Zane Kirchner and prop Gurthrö Steenkamp should recover in time for their Week Nine Super 14 clash against the Waratahs on Saturday.
The Bulls currently occupy fourth spot on the Super 14 standings and they can not afford another slip-up this week, which could see them drop to mid-table.
Kirchner bruised his gluteus muscle during the Bulls’ 13-16 loss to the Crusaders last Friday while Steenkamp is struggling with an ankle ailment.
However, Bulls team doctor Org Strauss stressed that Kirchner is making steady progress after he had to leave the field in the 11th minute against the Crusaders and Steenkamp should also recover in time to face the Waratahs this weekend.
“Zane will be given untill Wednesday to prove his fitness and the only other player in the squad carrying an injury is Gurthrö Steenkamp.”Tweet
