Show your support for the OTHER Sharks

After a three-week break, the table-topping Sharks XV finally know who their quarter-final opponents will be.

That’s right, fans – the Limp Lions (otherwise known as the Young Lions) bring their circus to Durban on Friday to take on the mighty Sharks XV in the Vodacom Cup quarter-final. The Young Lions looked dead and buried earlier in the season, but managed to squeak fourth place courtesy of a win over the hapless Valke. They have drawn the ultimate short straw in facing an in-form Sharks XV hell-bent on winning some silverware.

We’ve arranged to convey your messages of support to the Sharks XV players and coaching staff, so leave you good wishes as comments on this thread and Sharksworld will see that they end up where they’ll do the most good.

Needless to say, only positive comments will be passed on to the players.

Let’s go, Sharks XV! Make us proud.

  • The young Lions have got a few big names in the side, guys with S14 experience, but they lost their first 4 matches and then won the last 2. Hopefully they have turned the corner at the right time!

I knew Henry Honiballs name from the newspapers when he was still at school but from a cricket background. He was at Escort High and played first cricket, he was obviously very good because for the whole summer Mr Honiball performed for his school.
Absolutely one of my all time favourites.

  • To Sean, Andries and the boys:

White and black or black and white – it doesn’t matter which way round the colours go! The Sharks XV are our team and you have all made us incredibly proud with the superb results and great brand of rugby you have played thus far in the Vodacom Cup. Your team spirit and common purpose unite you and set you apart from other teams in this competition and you are crucial to carrying forward the winning culture and momentum that started with the Sharks Currie Cup win in 2008.

Remember to play for each other and the jersey and the talent and character of this team will see you all the way.

    Now go get those Lions!

    Rob
