The Lions have made a handful of changes to their team for the Super 14 match against the Crusaders on Friday, the most notable being the return of their inspirational Springbok centre, Jaque Fourie.
Rugby 365 reports that the Lions will hope that Fourie, along with the other changes, can help them bounce back from a humiliating defeat against the Force last weekend in Perth.
The Lions should be buoyed by the return of the star No.13 and a return home to Johannesburg after their four match Australasian tour.
Along with the return of Fourie, there is a possibility that captain Cobus Grobbelaar will return, pending a call on his fitness. ‘Baywatch’ has thus been bracketed with Johan Deventer to start in the No.6 jersey in the only possible change to the pack.
Further changes have seen a backline shuffle, with Louis Ludik back at fullback at the expense of Earl Rose, who drops to the bench. Jannie Boshoff is on the left wing for an injured Henno Mentz, with Deon van Rensburg shifting to the right wing to accommodate Fourie.
The Lions will be up against a Crusaders team who are desperate for a win after a loss to the Cheetahs last week, which left them in eighth position on the log.
