Eric Sauls has had to reshuffle his personnel somewhat ahead of today’s must-win IRB Junior WC semi-final against England.
Regular fullback Sias Ebersohn has been suspended for a dangerous tackle, meaning the Bulls’ Francois Brümmer has to take over in the number 15 jersey. Captain Rob Ebersohn, himself fortunate to escape a ban along with his brother, will take over from Brümmer at inside centre. Province’s Nicolaas Hanekom comes into the vacant outside centre position.
Among the forwards, former Pretoria Boys flanker Tendayi Chikukwa has cried off injured, meaning an elevation to the starting fifteen for Marnus Schoeman. Anticipating a bruising clash against the big English pack, Sauls has picked five forwards on the bench.
