Springbok tourist Earl Rose will get his long-awaited break when he runs out at flyhalf for the Emerging Springboks against the British and Irish Lions in Cape Town on Tuesday.
Jan de Koning reports for rugby365:
The team of non-capped players, in most cases regarded as the future of South African rugby, has a powerful looking pack of forwards and some exciting backs.
However, it is in the backline where players like Rose, Jano Vermaak, Morgan Newman, Bjorn Basson, Luzuko Vulindlu and Zane Kirchner will get the chance to show their true worth.
