Lwazi Mvovo comes in at left wing in the only unenforced change to the Sharks starting 15 for this weekend’s match against Boland at the ABSA Stadium in Durban.
Coach John Plumtree has, of course, been forced to make a pair of enforced changes in his tight five, with young Pat Cilliers replacing Bok-bound Jannie du Plessis at tighthead prop and veteran Albert van den Berg coming into the number 5 jersey. Regular number 5 Johann Muller broke his arm against Western Province and will miss the next two months of the competition.
Nikolai Blignaut and former age-group Bok Wiehahn Herbst are the two new faces in the squad and they will cover lock and prop respectively off the bench.
Mvovo, who was the Sharks XV’s leading try scorer in the recent Vodacom Cup has been picked to start in the place of Luzuko Vulindlu, who drops to the bench. Chris Jordaan and Charl McLeod both drop out of the 22 this week. McLeod will be replaced by Junior Springbok scrumhalf Ross Cronjé, whose brother Guy will enjoy a second successive start in the number 10 jersey.
Stefan Terblanche will captain the team from fullback, the first player to do so since Hugh Reece-Edwards back in the early 90s.

anyway back to rugby matters, I think Mvovo deserved this chance. Zuks Vulindlu has been threatening to do a lot and so far has done very little with ball in hand. I hope Mvovo shows more hunger…
