New front-row for Griquas

Griquas will field an entire new front row when they face the Currie Cup newcomers, the Leopards, in a Round Two match in Kimberley on Saturday.

Coach Dawie Theron has named Bees Roux, Andries Kruger and Albertus Buckle in the front row – this trio replacing Ruaan du Preez, Ryno Barnes and Steph Roberts.

Injury has ruled out stalwart Heinrich Stride, with another veteran Sean Plaatjies starting at No.8 this week.

Griquas: 15 Riaan Viljoen, 14 Egon Seconds, 13 Wilmaure Louw, 12 Barry Geel, 11 Bjorn Basson, 10 Naas Olivier, 9 Sarel Pretorius, 8 Sean Plaatjies, 7 Devon Raubenheimer, 6 Jonathan Mokuena (captain), 5 Jacques Lombaard, 4 Brendon Snyman, 3 Bees Roux, 2 Andries Kruger, 1 Albertus Buckle.
Replacements: 16 Ryno Barnes, 17 Steph Roberts, 18 Nolan Clark, 19 Rohan Kitshoff, 20 Jaco Bekker, 21 Dewald Pretorius, 22 Gavin Passens
