Will an even further depleted Sharks team bounce back from an embarrassing defeat against WP last week in the rain? New captain Stef Terblanche will look to put one over his old team, while new starting forwards Albert van den Berg and Pat Cilliers will have their work cut out for them upfront.
Or will Boland, who have already sniffed a real air of weakness around this Sharks team, fancy their chances of an upset? Hey, finally home, long drive but it was completely worth it. Was an excellent game to watch from the stands, just a pity the crowd was so small. It was the perfect weather for it as well!
There were 2 pretty boring sections of the match, before half time and at the end there – but we were blaming the ref so it was fine. The other 60 minutes was such fun to watch; in fact I haven’t had so much fun at a live game since going for a swim at Newlands last week!
Now, Diesel Deysel. He took a hit, or made one or something, and immediately grabbed his arm in agony. It was limp and looked bad. As he was about to drop to the ground, he saw Boland gear up to run, stood up again, let his arm go and made a tackle with one arm. He held it again in pain, before hitting a ruck and securing the ball. It was only once the whistle had gone that he finally went to ground – I thought that was his game for sure. I just needed to mention that, because he earned every ounce of respect I can possibly muster. What a committed team player! Seriously, watch that part again, it was in the first 10 minutes.
Lastly, thanks for tickets Sharksworld! I couldn’t have gone otherwise because my bank is broken
