This is a snippet of news I just picked up on www.rugbyweek.com.

Jean de Villiers and his agent have today confirmed that they have signed a contract with Munster and de Villiers will attempt to secure an early release from Western Province. His current contract ends on 31 October, but he’d like to join up with the Irish side in time for the start of the Northern Hemipshere season in September.

If all goes to plan, de Villiers will not represent the Stormers or Western Province again.

  • @robdylan (Comment 2): exactly – so barring Schalk, who is not in the greatest of forms recently – their current CC team is all we can expect.

From what I gather Jantjes is out for a while still.

  • @rekinek (Comment 3) : there’s Bekker too, for what it’s worth. I think they’re stronger without him
