Baby Sharks coach Sean Everitt has rotated his personnel somewhat for this weekend’s crunch encounter with the Bulls at ABSA Stadium Durban.
Loose forward Siya Mdaka is the only new face in the 22, having recovered from a mild concussion sustained in the first-round loss to Western Province. He comes straight back in at blindside flank, relegating Lambert Smith to the bench, while Cameron Dunlop misses out altogether this week.
The strong tight five of Dale Chadwick, Kyle Cooper, Julian Redelinghuys, Anton Bresler and Jandré Marais remains intact it’s a unit that will hopefully to go on to anchor the senior side in years to come. Nick Claasen and Meyer Swanepoel complete the forward pack.
In the backs, versatile captain Tian Meyer moves from flyhalf to scrumhalf this week, with Dauw Steyn taking over at pivot. Big George Tossel starts at inside centre, with Alex Kock and Gary Collins, bot of whom started against Boland, warming the bench this week.
Rosco Specman, Milo Nqoro, Mark Richards and Pat Lambie all retain their places in the backline.

A fair dose of local-born talent here, which seems to suggest that the KZN schools system is doing something right, despite their annual poor showing at Craven Week.
This is a strong side and I’m secretly hoping they can give the Bulls a klap.
This is getting ridiculous, we have one set of twins (Guy and Ross Cronje), but what cruel mother would call both twins by the same name?

Durban – Sharks flyhalf Guy Cronje was suspended from all rugby for one week following a disciplinary hearing on Wednesday.
Cronje, who was cited following a yellow card for a dangerous tackle for his dangerous spear tackle on Boland lock Frikkie Spies during his team’s 46-10 victory over the Boland Cavaliers in an Absa Currie Cup match, appeared before judicial officer Dekker Govender at a hearing which took place at the offices of the Kwa-Zulu Natal Rugby Union.
Cronje was represented at the hearing by his legal representative Darren Croxford.
Govender reviewed the available evidence and the report of the match citing commissioner Edwin van Wyngaardt, who felt that the offence deserved a sterner punishment.
Govender concluded that Cronje was guilty of a dangerous tackle and as a result, suspended the Sharks flyhalf from all rugby for one week up until Friday July 24, 2009.
Cronje has the right to appeal.
