John Plumtree has opted to make minimal changes to his 22 for Friday’s crunch ABSA Currie Cup encounter with the Bulls in Durban.
The 1-week suspension handed to nineteen-year-old flyhalf Guy Cronjé, coupled with the fact the Juan Martin Hernández has yet to arrive in Durban, has forced Plumtree’s hand. Journeyman Monty Dumond will start in the number 10 jersey which he last occupied against the touring British Lions.
The remainder of the starting 15 is unchanged from the unit that ran up a seven-try victory over Boland a week ago. Albert van den Berg and Pat Cilliers will have their hands full at scrum time, the latter in particular having endured a pretty torrid time against Boland’s Janro van Niekerk. It doesn’t get any easier for the young Michaelhouse alumnus, with Springbok Gurthrö Steenkamp his direct opponent this week.
Keegan Daniel and Craid Burden, each of whom scored a brace of tries last week, will look to keep the pack moving at a pace which might just prove a tad too fast for the Bulls to keep up with.
Among the backs, Riaan Swanepoel and Dries Strauss will need to show that they can be as effective on attack as on defence. Whatever the case, it’s unlikely to be much of a display of running rugby this weekend, particularly not from the Sharks perspective.
Flyhalf Len Olivier and lock-cum-flank Mike Rhodes both stand to make their Currie Cup débuts for the Sharks this week, named on the bench in place of Dumond and Nikolai Blignaut respectively.

Yaaaayyyy!! i hope Len gets a run – I am no Dumond fan…
Go Sharkies!!
@Prof. Ice (Comment 1) : I am a Dumond fan… I think he’s a great guy and a capable fullback.
Dumond…
@robdylan (Comment 2) : he is a nice guy,but not the best defender, but he gets the ball going, dont remember at all how len plays
@robdylan (Comment 2) :
But not Flyhalf…
and Capable does not always = excellent….but I suppose he is what we have (BTW is he family…
)
He is not even CLOSE as good looking as Len, man!!
This must be the slowest, most uninspiring and one dimensional backline the Sharks have ever picked.
go sharkies!!!
btw any news on waylon murray?
Does he (Dumond) read the site??
I surely hope not!!
@Morné (Comment 6) : where’ve I seen that before?
@war1 (Comment 8) : next week, apparently. But they keep saying that.
@wpw (Comment 9) : he might.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 5) : family of mine? Not as far as I know…
@robdylan (Comment 10) :
It was posted here first!
Where did the Sharks get so terribly thin…
@Prof. Ice (Comment 12) :
A year or 2 ago, we had the coach with the most difficult job in job selection because of all the “depth”…look now…
@war1 (Comment 8) : Waylon Murray is the ‘Andre Pretorius’ of the Sharks.
@Pokkel (Comment 14) : you mean he will be injured for another 2 or 3 seasons, and then move to the force?
@war1 (Comment 15) :
@Morné (Comment 6) : Not like we are spoiled for choice!
@war1 (Comment 15) : Just send him now……let’s rather pay a player that actually plays rugby….can he still play rugby?? The leg that he has the injury on is probably so weak by now……maybe that is why he runs like a crab….the one leg is stronger than the other one and that causes him to run side ways.( and I can’t wait forever for smileys to run)
@Prof. Ice (Comment 13) : Perhaps it twas but an urban legend
@Pokkel (Comment 18) : apparently the first operation on his knee was not ultimately successful, so he had another one, i truly hope this is only a temporary setback in his career, remember he only turns 23 this year as far as i know
@Prof. Ice (Comment 13) : europe came calling
@diablo (Comment 19) :
Not really, hey – we had a good selection (although no silverware)..but we had good choices, really! okay In my Humble opinion..
@war1 (Comment 20) : I hope so too. He was great when he was chosen for the Boks.
we have lost a shedload of backline talent over the last few years…
Butch, Brad, Frans, Mentz(???), Spedding, Russell, the Nobles (????), Mkhize, Hennessey, Bobo… just the names that come to mind immediately.
Add to that the fact that we have Pienaar, Jacobs and JP with the Boks and Waylon on the long-term injured list, and you can start to understand that we have no depth anymore
@Morné (Comment 6) :
It doesn’t matter – the forwards will score 5 tries…
Go SHARKS…especially Monty – i can’t imagine the pressure he’s under – but good players rise above the pressure.
Sharks forever!
@Prof. Ice (Comment 12) :
They look well-fed to me…
@blackshark (Comment 26) :
@blackshark (Comment 26) : nice avatar. I love the Bucs… simply cos they play in black and white
@robdylan (Comment 28) : up the bucs!
@robdylan (Comment 28) :
Same reason as me…
@blackshark (Comment 26) :
HAHAHAHA – funny bunny!!
@Prof. Ice (Comment 30) : i started supporting pirates also coz they play in black and white, but i actually like the team, but they are also serial unerachievers, like another team which plays in black and white . . .
@war1 (Comment 31) :
A good few years ago I came from a Netball tour in the Cape – Pirates was on the same fligh as us – so, introverted as i am, I started talking to them and we had a few toots in a bar at the airport. I was invited to phone them whenever I wanted to watch a match. (Unfortunately I never wtook them up on the offer and the signed shirt is still hangin somewhere in my previous life..)
@robdylan (Comment 28) :@Prof. Ice (Comment 30) : I know
………..I’ll wait until next season…
If they don’t dominate this season
@war1 (Comment 31) : Are you a Liverpool fan by any chance? (trying to find the pattern)…
Anyone knows where the Bulls are staying?
@Prof. Ice (Comment 32) : thats where the introvertedness came out then?
@blackshark (Comment 33) : i am a proud manchester city fan, and no not because of the money, i was one since about 2001 i think, when they last got relegated
@blackshark (Comment 33) : Now now play nice….
@war1 (Comment 35) :
Ah…supa strikas…
So have you seen any of the games?
@Pokkel (Comment 36) :
I want to send them a present…
@blackshark (Comment 37) : no, i wanted to though, especially pirates-city game, but it was not in jozi
@war1 (Comment 38) :
I believe the Final will be in Floptus this Saturday…but there’s too much good rugby…so…
@blackshark (Comment 39) : dont think i can convince my dad to take me, added to that we have a visitor this w/e, so unfortunately, btw do you know of any shops that stock man city jerseys nowadays?
@war1 (Comment 40) :
I think with the Vodacom Challenge still on – you’ll be able to find Man City stuff in the big sports shops…but yeah I don’t think it’s very accessible in RSA.
@war1 (Comment 40) : I can bring you one in September, if you like
@robdylan (Comment 42) :
Are we having a Sharsworld Meet-up reunion???
@Morné (Comment 6) : any backline with stefan and rory in it would be.
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 44) :
Ag dont start with Stefan – he did good on Saturday..
@Prof. Ice (Comment 45) :
OOOOPPPs!!
Friday..
i am pleased about on thing though, and that is mvovo starts ahead of vulindlu. i haven’t liked zuks since i first saw him in the warm up s14 game, and he hasn’t inspired much confidence since. mvovo though has been brilliant every time he has run onto the field. it shows how slow our coaching staff is to adapt.
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 44) :
Thought you’d cut them a bit of slack after last Friday…
Sure it was only Boland – but they had good intentions right from the start ( this is Rory and Stef I’m talking about)…
@robdylan (Comment 42) : that would be AWESOME! but where would you be?
@Prof. Ice (Comment 43) : why not?
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 44) : yay! True to form
@war1 (Comment 49) : staying with my mom-in-law in Fairland
@blackshark (Comment 48) : one game doesn’t make a hero or legend. and the two’s overall record this season hasn’t been awe inspiring. especially as they are the conductors in the orchestra. the backline relies on them to bring them into the game, and neither has.
@robdylan (Comment 50) :
You gonna be in Jozi again? Let me know when and we can see what we can organise!
@robdylan (Comment 50) : i don’t start slow. i cut right to the bone.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 45) : i thought he played on friday against the mighty boland. that can only play decent rugby in marshes.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 53) : im in, anyone willing to come to auckland park? cresta shopping centre?
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 54) :
Are you the “Bone Collector” of SW…
I would like to see us run a few youngster in the begining of the CC (But not change the team every week), try and get back some of the depth we lost, key positions would be flyhalf, lock,inside and outside center. If we can find a few there, by the time we get back all out boks and injuries for the second half of the CC we can start to look good again.
@war1 (Comment 56) :
We had it at Lifestyle Centre Primi last time – Cresta not far either – we’ll take a look and then organise…watch this space!
now for the forwards, mmm. only one problem i have here considering what we have left at the tank (as opposed to in the tank
), and that is our ever loopy keegan. with keegan and rory in the team there is always a good bet to be had over which will get the first yellow.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 59) : hopefully it would not be between 6 and 13 september, coz im away during that time
@Prof. Ice (Comment 59) : this space or one on a newer post on the site
@Tintin (Comment 58) : i think you’ll get your wish as we don’t have much else to play.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 57) :
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 62) :
This SITE…
@war1 (Comment 61) :
Let’s wait and see when Rob will be available..then we can try to accom everyone!
@war1 (Comment 56) : We can definitely do Cresta
@Prof. Ice (Comment 65) : sounds like a plan
@robdylan (Comment 66) : nice,
I’d love to see a youngster at 13…
or maybe it’s time to play Keegan at 13
@robdylan (Comment 70) : what zuks even?
Icey – I’ll let you know once my plans are more final, then we can arrange a decent get together. Anyone who invites Roger this year will be asked to leave, though.
@war1 (Comment 71) : no problem with giving Zuks an extended run at 13. After 3 games, he’ll be a fixture
I’ve got Monty on the line on Facebook… anyone have some advice to pass on?
@robdylan (Comment 69) : paedophile
@robdylan (Comment 73) : i think he is a MUCH better option than strauss at 13, dont mind strauss as much at 12, but dont like him at 13
@robdylan (Comment 70) : i have always wondered why we haven’t. less chance of him throwing punches. might trip his opposition player though.
@robdylan (Comment 74) : yes tell him to head butt kockett before the game and tell him that if doesn’t give decent ball so he can show what he offers at ten, then there will be a truck load more on offer after the game. monty might be better if he got better ball from 9. rory has made all our tens look below par this season.
@robdylan (Comment 72) :
You are ON!!!
IT WAS NOT ME – JUST SO THAT YOU KNOW!!
@robdylan (Comment 74) :
Tell him to be strong…
@robdylan (Comment 73) : a fixture in the b team. he has poor hands. his defence is good, but he lacks handling skills.
@blackshark (Comment 80) :
Mentally and physically…
And that we’re behind him and the boys…
@robdylan (Comment 74) :
Tell him if he has a decent showing this week, Ice MIGHT become a fan…
@Prof. Ice (Comment 83) :
Tell him to be a “hard Man”…
@Prof. Ice (Comment 84) : i had to re-read that. i missed the “a”. i was wondering if you have to ask your hubbie that.
rob must be having a serious conversation with him, as he hasn’t been on for 20 mins
actually when does rob have anything but a SERIOUS conversation.
sorry – just had to go clean the George Forman grill
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 75) :
@robdylan (Comment 88) : cool i’ll have my fillet med rare. and extra prego sauce on my portugeuse roll. a little lettuce onion and tomato.
I told Monty that him and Swannie need to make sure they put in a couple of hard hits on Brummer and Waterboy early in the game.
ok – off for lunch. Keep talking in my absence
BTW, Ice – I know exactly who it was that invited Roger…
@blackshark (Comment 89) : what
rob said he wanted a kid at 13.
@robdylan (Comment 91) : and a few on rory?
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 85) :
Eish!!
@Prof. Ice (Comment 95) : ja met eish.
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 94) : he’s still labouring under the impression that Rory is one of the good guys
@robdylan (Comment 92) :
And I have a very good idea too…
@robdylan (Comment 97) : considering the “sell your mate” ball he gets from rory, i would have thought otherwise.
@robdylan (Comment 97) : but i liked your idea of moving rory to ten. although he would still find a loosies to run into. i reckon rory has daddy issues. he likes running into the arms of big men.
i see saru has found a way to get free holidays to ireland. wear white armbands and protest, then you get a trip to dublin for a fresh guinness and a little banter with the irb wankers.
The backline just needs to defend well, the forwards will do the rest against the bumbling bulls
@robdylan (Comment 91) : Did you get Swannies 100m or 60m time yet?
@Rahul (Comment 103) : about and hour and a half, I believe
@robdylan (Comment 104) :
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
@Prof. Ice (Comment 105) :
question is, is he faster or slower than Brad and Dries?
@robdylan (Comment 106) : doesn’t matter if all you get to do is stand and defend.
how was the steak roll?
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 107) :
Oi – i can do with one of those…
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 107) : it was a toasted zarm and it was lekker, thanks!
Hey, Swanners scored a lekker try last weekend!
@Prof. Ice (Comment 108) : yeah a lekker steak on a warm portugeuse roll with a lekker sauce. @robdylan (Comment 109) : rob wouldn’t know about a good steak in pom land.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 98) : are u talking about supporters club roger, and why
@robdylan (Comment 109) : i wasn’t criticizing swannie. i schmaak the laaitjie. i criticise the lack of decent distribution in the backline.
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 110) :
STOPPP!!!
@Prof. Ice (Comment 113) : and lekka thick crispy chips. mmm
@willa (Comment 111) :
Why are we talking about Roger?
dammit i have gotten my mouth watering now.
@willa (Comment 111) : maybe…
He tried to hijack my event last time.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 115) :
@Prof. Ice (Comment 115) : it sounds like roger is the reason the word rogering got created. if he is around you know you’ve been rogered.
ok – I know it’s completely my fault for starting it, but let’s not get into character assassination on the site. If anyone wants to know about my beef with Roger or anyone else, they can email me.
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 116) :
you see, FOOL!!
@robdylan (Comment 120) : i don’t even know the guy. so if your name is roger and you are on the site, i have no idea if you are the culprit, so say it is another roger.
The 1-week suspension handed to nineteen-year-old flyhalf Guy Cronjé,
Who gets a one week suspension for a ‘spear takle’. They admitting there is nothing in it but have to hand down some sort of punishment?
Sound like bullcrap to me
@Prof. Ice (Comment 121) : yeah i am displeased with myself now. i don’t even have steak at home to make some tonight. i’ll have to wait for saturday. it is going to be like waiting for christmas.
@Rahul (Comment 123) : I agree… if they really thought it was a spear, he would have got 3 minimum.
@robdylan (Comment 125) : @Rahul (Comment 123) : maybe they let him off the extra cos they were impressed with how he tackled someone in a weight category 4 times higher than his.
@robdylan (Comment 125) : they said on tv that for any spear tackle from now is a red card, or did i have to beer and heard it wrong
@willa (Comment 127) : sorry
to much beer
@willa (Comment 128) : had a few already, have you?
@Rahul (Comment 123) :
BULLCRAP??? LOL!!
@try time (superrugby’s kryptonite is SANZAR) (Comment 129) :im always under the afluance of incihol
@willa (Comment 131) :
@willa (Comment 127) : you heard right
@robdylan (Comment 133) :
Unless they consider it an Okapi tackle…
eish we gonna have to pray for monty?
he is going to need all the help he can get
@sharks_lover (Comment 136) : ag, he will be fine i think
@Prof. Ice (Comment 130) : hiyas aunty ice blocks , long time no see, hope ur well , cheers
@sharks_lover (Comment 136) : ok… should we hold hands?
@war1 (Comment 137) : truelly hope so boet
@sharks_lover (Comment 138) :
Hey SL – always well!!
good to hear
@robdylan (Comment 139) : will it help???
@sharks_lover (Comment 143) : anything’s worth a try
@robdylan (Comment 144) : im trying to load a new pic that was taken when i had lunch with the all black team in the week
and was lucky enough to spend4 hours with them as we played 10 pin too
@sharks_lover (Comment 146) : did you step on any of their toes? I would have… take one for the team!
@robdylan (Comment 147) :
nice buncha guys though
didnt have a camera their butt phone cam , so not great pics ,
shit those buggers are huge
@sharks_lover (Comment 148) : hoping the boks can cut them down to size!
i tried uploading the one pic but says you guys will approve it first
@robdylan (Comment 149) : rob well i think we have the right team and combinations
and they are not fully ontop of their game either, so yeah who knows
@sharks_lover (Comment 150) : i have approved it
cool thanks
dunno why it still shows the old photo
lol well too bad no biggy
i am more worried about 2morrow night
besides monty and our slow backline lol, eish the forwards dont have much scrumming power
@sharks_lover (Comment 154) : do the bulls?
well they have their full front row plus reserves
we have 6 tight forward players out
@sharks_lover (Comment 156) : true that
@sharks_lover (Comment 154) : do a shift-f5
@sharks_lover (Comment 156) : their scrum was annihilated by WP… let’s have a little faith
i have lol
theres alot of people out there who have faith in the Sharks to beat the Bulls, or they are just stupid. I think im either of them
@robdylan (Comment 159) : true rob still worry though as we know pat hasnt been as strong since all his injuries
carstens ,not too bad and craid a good player just not that powerful a scrummager
luckily nor is kuun
@JarsonX (Insomniac) (Comment 161) : I’m pretty stupid, but I’m not holding my breath about the result tomorrow night.
@sharks_lover (Comment 162) : both teams have strong looseheads but weak tightheads, combined with a hooker who’s not a great scrummager.
It might be very even.
@robdylan (Comment 163) : so am i, by 5 and by 2 respectively
@robdylan (Comment 164) : true
WIFE:
What would you do if I died? Would you get married again?
HUSBAND:
Definitely not!
WIFE:
Why not – don’t you like being married?
HUSBAND:
Of course I do.
WIFE:
Then why wouldn’t you remarry?
HUSBAND:
Okay, I’d get married again.
WIFE:
You would? (With a hurtful look on her face).
HUSBAND:
(Makes audible groan).
WIFE:
Would you live in our house?
HUSBAND:
Sure, it’s a great house.
WIFE:
Would you sleep with her in our bed?
HUSBAND:
Where else would we sleep?
WIFE:
Would you let her drive my car?
HUSBAND:
Probably, it is almost new.
WIFE:
Would you replace my pictures with hers?
HUSBAND:
That would seem like the proper thing to do.
WIFE:
Would she use my golf clubs?
HUSBAND:
No, she’s left-handed.
WIFE:
- silence – –
HUSBAND:
F * ck….
@sharks_lover (Comment 166) : I don’t really rate Steenkamp as much of a scrumamger anyway.
@sharks_lover (Comment 167) :
@sharks_lover (Comment 167) : nice one!
@robdylan (Comment 168) : nor do i , thus i argue a lot with bulls supporters that try and tell me he is stronger then beast
in the 2nd lions test guthro had his head shoved up his ass
be back in a few dinner time
@sharks_lover (Comment 171) : he’s not a great prop fullstop.
Seeing that Jaque Fourie is only waiting for an offer from the Lions to decide his future. The Sharks should make an offer aswell for his services
@JarsonX (Insomniac) (Comment 174) : they should, would be nice to have him in the tank
imagine this backline
15 hernandez
14 odwa/ stefan is he is still around lol
13 Fourie
12 adi
11 jpp
10 ruan
09 cockott
bench swannie / murray / stefan/ odwa / mvovo / vulindlu / guy / mcCleod / ross …….. starts looking better
@sharks_lover (Comment 176) : yeah, but it will be better when our boks come back anyway, but the impact of guy and JMH both coming next week is going to be big on its own
@war1 (Comment 177) : and hopefully murray as well
We’re BLACK… we’re WHITE…
@blackshark (Comment 179) : ….we’re stuffed….
Go Sharks
@blackshark (Comment 179) :
Should be: We’re BLACK… We’re WHITE… We’re also full of SHITE!!!
@Pokkel (Comment 180) :
Oi!
@wpw (Comment 181) :
Keep your WP chants to yourself…

Welcome to the site, BoetaC… thanks for the match report… it was duidelik!
No worries broer, i gonna see what i can makes for Monday, if I can track Claytman down.He is mos sturvy,he dont like talking to me in public, he think he is what he is not.Keep him like that Fairways people.
@BoetaC (Comment 195) :
@BoetaC (Comment 195) :
Claytman is like that. He was mos at that moffie school, Plumstead!!
@wpw (Comment 197) : did Claytie go to Plumstead? Wait, I think I knew that…
@wpw (Comment 197) : Moffie School?What?We gave the world the sporting legend that is Paul Adams
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 199) :
My point exactly!!
Well there was that ONE success in JP Duminy!!!
I think Mike Bernado considers himself a success as well.
Hoesit ouens!
Go Sharks!
@wpw (Comment 197) :
Oi – I might be moving to Plumstead soon!
@Big Fish (Comment 203) : For reals?
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 204) :
Ja – saw a nice house there; going to do a 2nd viewing with s construction-industry mate of mine on Monday, might make an offer then.
We will almost be neighbours. I just couldn’t bring myself to go North…
@Big Fish (Comment 203) : Lekka right there by the Chilli Bar
@Big Fish (Comment 205) : cool man, funny thing is I was considering giving the north a shot.
Hi All and Hi Vis!! Good to see you ’round!
On another note…seems my Fender bender on Monday was not so small…R32k damage…
@Prof. Ice (Comment 208) : I got a uncle you can talks to
@BoetaC (Comment 209) :
Boeta – where’s your Uncle??
@Prof. Ice (Comment 208) :
Hope your insurer is dependable.
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 207) :
Lovely properties there – much better value for money.
But then there is the wind and lack of English and young people… And Wes.
I need to buy soon – banks are about to grant 100% Bonds again – will slow if not stop the downward slide of the market.
@Big Fish (Comment 211) :
Fishy – seems my excess is a bit steep….
but R29000 is coming from insurance – so I am not gonna complain…
Shitty part is, that it will be my first claim in over 11 years – so there goes my noclaim bonus and I suppose a hike in my premium…
@Big Fish (Comment 211) : And Wes…, ja thats the big problem
@Prof. Ice (Comment 212) :
And my weekend at Spier…
@BoetaC (Comment 209) :
Uncle Ricki?
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 207) :
Stiek uit jou bang ding!!!
@blackshark (Comment 215) :
Ricki Louw??
@Prof. Ice (Comment 212) :
Did you look at your policy to confirm the excess payable?
In any event, often the excess is increased so that your premium is minimal – makes sense to me. If you are not happy, consult the Ombudsman – ostidotcoza.
@wpw (Comment 216) :
@Big Fish (Comment 211) :
HEY!!
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 213) :
I’m not that beeeg!!
Who scheduled these mathes 1 hour apart?
@Big Fish (Comment 218) :
Fishy. yes dear, I did. Its exactly like that – I have a loaded excess because my premium is low (I do not travel much so I am on “pay as you Drive” – hopeffully the next one is also only in 11 years!! LOL
@wpw (Comment 220) :
you don’t ANY mirrors…do you??
Bloemfontein – Jaque Fourie and Wynand Olivier could possibly be the Stormers’ centre combination in next year’s Super14 series.
Sport24 learned reliably on Thursday that Fourie will turn his back on the Lions and the French club Clermont’s millions and rather join Western Province.
The Blue Bulls and the Sharks are apparently also interested in Fourie, but by all accounts WP have won the race.
No all WP need to do is get rid of that fijian.
Fish? You still around?
@McLovin (Comment 224) : Rudolf get out the check book quick and don’t be stingy
@McLovin (Comment 223) : Wynand Olivier?
@robdylan (Comment 228) : Quite a suprise to me too. Will believe it when I see it.
@robdylan (Comment 228) :
Yep – also read it this morning…did not post it as I thoughtSW will be first in breaking the news…but someone was sleeping in this morning!
@Pokkel (Comment 227) : what are the chances?
Has anyone seen my ipod?
@McLovin (Comment 232) : I’ve got it here. Sorry
@Prof. Ice (Comment 222) :
Ok – makes sense then.
Older people are usually safe drivers.
@robdylan (Comment 226) :
I tain’t dead yet.
@McLovin (Comment 223) :
Doesnt make sense – what about Grant and Newman?
I’ll believe it when I see it.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 230) : or concentrating on his day job…
@robdylan (Comment 233) :
I was looking all over for it.
Harmse reckons Hougaardt is also on his way to WP
@McLovin (Comment 236) : you have good taste in music
Ekse naai my bru, waarsie kaapse mense dan
@Big Fish (Comment 234) : Grant has never really excited me. Good player, but that’s about it imo.
Newman still a bit green.
But like you say, seeing is believing.
@Big Fish (Comment 234) :
Where is WP getting the cash from? I thought they were almost bankrupt.
@Big Fish (Comment 234) :
Grant is leaving after the CC.
@McLovin (Comment 242) :
Never underestimate the power of the pink dollar.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 241) :
Yea though I play on the verandah of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…
@McLovin (Comment 240) :
Agree with you – but is Miesiekind much better? Fourie is a stunning signing for anyone.
@BoetaC (Comment 239) :
Your English is improving markedly Boeta – you been reading a lot of the Big Issue?
@McLovin (Comment 242) :
Well, the following players are/have left:
Luke
JDV
Bobes
Mujati
Brits
which means there’s money for the likes of Fourie, Wynand (spit), etc.
@wpw (Comment 245) : You speak sense o wise one.
@Big Fish (Comment 244) : I reckon Olivier is better than Grant at 12.
@Big Fish (Comment 244) :
Fair enough – but you SHOULD fear me…Hell hath no fury like a woman who’s age is being made an issue!!
@McLovin (Comment 247) :
Len…
I think Mossie will be moving to Cape Town soon. This rumour coupled with his “I am the worlds best 13″ statement indicate that he is already in Province mode.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 249) : Len who?
@Salmonoid (Comment 250) : It’s only fair that the world’s best 13 plays for the world’s best province.
@Prof. Ice (Comment 248) :
Just last year you were a youngster around here and now there seems to be issues about your age.
I think you are one of those ladies that will always remain young.
@McLovin (Comment 242) : There’s a little bear
Like you’ve never seen before
Who’s a lot of fun…
@McLovin (Comment 252) :
you’re drinking vroeg in the morning or are you just “klamgrond”…
@Salmonoid (Comment 253) :
You have THAT right!!
And if all else fails – there’s plent of Plastic Surgeons around to let the body go with the attitude!
But see it, standing in my Jimmy Choo’s, no matter how old or young you are – do not play with a woman’s age..
@Prof. Ice (Comment 255) :
A few aeroplanes have passed, but I’m still stone cold sober. Coke & droee wors.
@Big Fish (Comment 244) : I think he sells in on his off days
@robdylan (Comment 254) : Really?
I love that bear. Even had the curtains and bedding once.
@McLovin (Comment 259) : that’s what I’ve heard
@robdylan (Comment 260) : he seems to have been behind the Chris Jack thing
@robdylan (Comment 261) : Interesting.
@robdylan (Comment 261) :
Uncle Johan Moneybags eh?
Will be very hard to match.
@robdylan (Comment 261) :

@Big Fish (Comment 263) : well, Stingy Rudi isn’t going to best him in the transfer market, that’s for sure….
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 264) : oh dear… are you struggling to keep up?
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 264) :
The dude paid for lawyers to be flown to France for Schalk’s hearing during the RWC.
@Big Fish (Comment 263) : Ooooh
@wpw (Comment 267) : And every person involved with the boks in the WC got Cartier watch.
@provincejoulekkading (Comment 268) :
