At least half of the Currie Cup coaches have got their ducks in a row this week and named their teams early. Needless to say, John Plumtree is not one of them!
The Bulls have been forced to make a change at blindside flank, with Gerrit-Jan van Velze coming in for the injured Dewald Potgieter. Returning from injury this week are Pedrie Wannenberg, Deon Stegmann and Burton Francis, all of whom will play off the wood. There’s been a bit of a cull on the bench with Jaco Engels, Fudge Mabeta and Francois Hougaardt all getting the chop. Young Stephan Dippenaar has been elevated from the under 21s, while Ruan Snyman will cover for Heini Adams at scrumhalf.

Former Sharks Vodacom Cup winger Danie Dames drops out of the squad this week, while Thabo Mamojele, on loan to the Leopards from the Sharks, will look to get some much-needed gametime off the bench.
