Odwa Ndungane and Deon Carstens have both been cleared to play against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein this evening.
The news comes as a timely boost to the Sharks, already strengthened by the return of Guy Cronjé (from suspension), Ryan Kankowski (from the Bok squad) and Waylon Murray (from injury). Carstens will start at loosehead prop, with Pat Cilliers at tight head and Wiehahn Herbst on the bench. Young Dale Chadwick, who was on standby, will now go back to the under 21 side, where he’ll cover for Sabelo Nhlapo and Julian Redelinghuys of the bench.
Ndungane will be at right wing, with the unlucky Luzuko Vulindlu dropping out of the 22 as a result. Murray’s inclusion in the number 22 jersey means no room for Vulindlu on the substitutes’ bench this week.
The only remaining fitness doubt is lock substitute Mike Rhodes. If he is not fit to play, Nikolai Blignaut will wear the number 18 jersey.

I picked the Sharks for this one – so don’t make me lose a point on SB.
It’s gonna be a mighty tussle upfront. But key players like Kockett and Terblanche would swing it in their favor , I would think. The S14 game was a pox (no offense to all the cheaters) as the rest of their tournament was disastrous (save for the crusader game).
I mean come on – the Cheetahs lost to Griquas AT HOME. I hear some die hard fans in Bloem saying that although still supporting the orange men, they don’t have much hope of winning big games (like this one).
