The return of star scrumhalf Sarel Pretorius from injury is the only change to the Griquas starting XV for the Currie Cup crunch match against the Boland Cavaliers in Wellington on Friday.
Pretorius missed last week’s fortuitous 34-33 win over the Leopards with a hamstring injury, but has been cleared to face the Cavaliers as Griquas chase a rare play-off spot.
Johannes Hellmuth, who started against the Leopards, drops out of the matchday 22 altogether, with Dewald Pretorius also back to provide cover off the bench.
There is still uncertainty about the final spot on the bench – with Gavin Passens and Richard Lawson bracketed for the No.22 jersey.
Griquas: 15 Riaan Viljoen, 14 Trompie Nontshinga, 13 Wilmaure Louw, 12 Barry Geel, 11 Bjorn Basson, 10 Naas Olivier, 9 Sarel Pretorius, 8 Jonathan Mokuena (captain), 7 Davon Raubenheimer, 6 Rohan Kitshoff, 5 Cecil-John Kemp, 4 Jacques Lombaard, 3 Albertus Buckle, 2 Rayno Barnes, 1 Zane Killian.
