I’m afraid Rudi is forever tainted, though. His absolute paranoia towards the media will put paid to any chances of him being a successful coach again, which is a pity, because technically he’s a good coach. Let’s not forget that he brought in the under 19 trophy last year.

@Salmonoid (Comment 10) : my concern as well, but the one thing Everitt does do very well is man management - an area where I feel Plum falls short. With a strong set of specialist assistants, I reckon he could do well, but as per my post above, I'd want him to be head coach in the CC for at least two years before being elevated to Super rugby. And he needs to win the bloody cup at least once. I think this season's VC will be make-or-break for Sean. If he wins that trophy, he's a virtual shoo-in to be Currie Cup coach.

Let me get this right.
It seems the wish here is that our current under 21 coach would be the coach of choice for the Super 15 after just one Vodacom Cup and one Currie Cup (watered down) competition.
I really enjoyed the under 21s but I think that may be pushing the fast track button too hastily.
