Well, there is at least some news out of the Sharks camp with regards to new signings. John Plumtree in an interview with The Sharks magazine confirmed the signing of former Lions lock, Gerhard Mostert.
This signing has been something of an open secret, but no one from the Sharks has confirmed it in any way. Plum also mentioned two other new signings that he was not allowed to mention, any guesses as to who those players are? No prizes for the correct answer.
Mostert has been known to be injury-prone and is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the Sharks’ medical staff. If he can stay injury free, he may have a very important role to play for the Sharks in the 2010 season and beyond. Mostert comes with good credentials, having starting his provincial career at the Leopards after finishing school in Rustenburg. He represented South Africa under 21 in 2005 before joining the Lions in 2006.

My sister lives litterally up the road from the Stadium in Morningside, so if the match is an evening match we normally leave our car at her house and walk down then we sleep at her place. I WILL definitely not miss the semis or final

@WilladieLeeu (Comment 129) : no – I would definitely NOT classify the Super 10 as Super Rugby. It was a made-up competition that was ridiculously weighted in favour of the SA teams. As you may recall, there was a proviso that the final HAD to be played in South Africa.
Transvaal won the tournament after beating North Harbour, Waikato, New South Wales and Northern Transvaal in the round robin, and Auckland in the final. You simply cannot compare that to a Super 12 title that includes facing 11 far tougher teams, at least half of them away, and then a semi and final.
It’s just not the same thing at all and you’re deluding yourself if you think it is.
