Springbok World Cup hooker Gary Botha, who returned from his two-year stint with London Harlequins in October, is back in the final Bulls Super 14 squad – and the team’s No 1 choice as hooker, in his absence, Derick Kuün, has been selected as a flank forward where he first made his mark.
Bulls coach Frans Ludeke has trimmed his squad in George where they are busy preparing for the coming Super 14 competition.
There are 17 Springboks in the announced squad with another three who are currently injured.
Players who are currently struggling with injuries include Springbok hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle (foot), prop Frik Kirsten (neck) and flyhalf Francois Brummer (groin), while Springbok flyhalf Jaco van der Westhuyzen will join the squad at a later stage.
Bok lock Bakkies Botha has had an Achilles operation and will, in all probability, only be able to play in March.
