South Africa were 332/2 after six overs of the fourth day of the third test match against England in Cape Town on Wednesday.
The home side thus lead by 350 runs, with Graeme Smith on 176 and Jacques Kallis on 26.
86th over: Smith completely misses one from Onions as he tries to pull a not-short-enough ball from outside off stump. Big shout at the end of the over for caught behind, but it’s declined. Seems like it brushed Smith’s pad.
85th over: Onions overpitches and Kallis drives him past mid-on for four. It’s ominous stuff for England. It’s 332/2.
83rd over: Smith stands up and cuts Anderson past point for the first boundary of the day. A sweeper goes out to the boundary, thus Smith’s cover drive off the next delivery gets cut off. But then he gets another four through third man…rather streaky shot if truth be told.
82nd over: Onions will bowl from the Wynberg End. Just one off the over for Smith, it’s 315/2.
81st over: The pattern of the match suggests there should be a wicket or two in this over, but Kallis nudges the first ball from Anderson into the on side for one. Then Smith takes one to mid on off the second deliver. Kallis is well beaten by the fifth ball, but sees out the over without any trauma.Tweet
