News out of the Ospreys camp is that Bok scrumhalf Ricki Januarie is not as terrible as some people would have you believe.
In fact Ospreys DOR Scott Johnson is on record as saying “If there is a better scrumhalf than Ricky Januarie in South Africa other than Fourie du Preez, please can I have his phone number!”
That may be a tad over the top at the moment given Rickis form over the last 2 seasons but Ricki has the ability to reach such heights.
Johnson adds that Ricki has a very professional attitude to the game and also possesses alot of leadership qualities that he was not aware of, he joked that Ricki still carried a little extra around the gut but that could be down do a “fat gene” that he himself possesses.
Rickis good form overseas and extra game time can only mean good things for the Stormers this season who are intent on making a Top 4 finish in this seasons Super 14 campaign.
