Less than a month until the 2010 Super 14 kicks off and the good news is that JustRugby.net is back, with the latest instalments of our popular Fantasy League and Last Man Standing competitions!

Prizes for both competitions have yet to be finalised, but they will be good, as always. Last year’s winners in the Super 14 competitions won tickets to see the Lions, while the winners of the Currie Cup games each won a supporter’s jersey of their choice. We’re currently negotiating with sponsors to ensure that this year’s prizes are even sweeter.

The Last Man Standing competition is a completely unique format and one which will require some serious guile – not to mention a lot of luck – to get through.

LMS basics.

  1. Once you have logged in to JustRugby.net select the Last Man Standing competition from the menu.
  2. Enter your team in the competition by clicking on the Enter team button.
  3. Choose a name for your team and enter your team.
  4. Choose your winning team for the round being played and submit your selection.
  5. You are now done and need to hope yout team you chose wins.

We also have the JustRugby Super 14 Fantasy League competition, where you’ll need to pick a squad of 30 players and score points based on their feats throughout the Super 14 season.

Just Rugby FL basics.

  1. Once you have logged in to JustRugby.net select the Fantasy League competition from the menu.
  2. Enter your team in the competition by clicking on the Enter team button.
  3. Choose a name for your team and enter your team.
  4. Add players to your team by clicking the Add Player button.
  5. Follow the simple instructions on screen to select your required players into your squad of 30 players.
  6. Select your captain and Starting XV for the next round.
  7. After each round the scores for your players will be updated, you may change them every week
  8. Throughout the season you will have 10 trades to use to replace players in your squad of 30.

If you are already a Sharksworld.co.za user there will be no need for you to register at JustRugby.net. You will be able to log in using your Sharksworld.co.za details.

So, go on over to JustRugby.net and get your team(s) registered. Get your firends over to join and let the weekly results show who has the better rugby brain.

  • @Pokkel (Rugby’s over, back to fishing) (Comment 1) : well, head on over and prove it. The squads should be more-or-less right – well, theAus and NZ ones are, at least. I’ve done my best with the Saffers, but let me know if you find a problem or a missing player

  • Just looked at our Antipodean tour. Bit of a doozy.

    26 Feb – Crusaders
    [over the Tasman]
    6 Mar – Waratahs
13 Mar – Brumbies (hopefully Bryce isn’t reffing this one)
    [over the Tasman]
    20 Mar – Highlanders
    27 Mar – Hurricanes
    [back home]
    3 April – Reds

That is a STINKER of a tour.

  • @robdylan (Comment 29) : the problem with the sharks is that they are usually exceeding expectations on tour but loosing home games. they shouldn’t have lost those S14 home games to Crusaders and Tahs, neither CC to WP. That was not good, almost like taking home advantage for granted.
