Sharksworld are pleased to announce that the main prize in our JustRugby Last Man Standing competition will be a Weber One-Touch Silver charcoal braai, valued at over R1500!
Thanks to the kind folks over at Weber, we’re putting up this amazing prize for the highest-placed South African-based entrant of the competition. Due to the complexity and cost of trying to ship such a big prize internationally, we regret that foreign-based entrants won’t be eligible for the Weber.
Do not despair, though, for their is another prize for the highest-placed overall entrant. Our good mate KSA Shark has kindly agreed to sponsor a pair of his-and-hers Super 14 jerseys, of the team of your choice. So just to confirm, that’s a Super 14 jersey for yourself and your significant other, which we’ll ship anywhere in the world.
It’s going to work like this….
– In the event that the overall winner is based in South Africa, that person will receive both the Weber braai and the jerseys.
– In the event that the overall winner is based outside of South Africa, that person will receive only the jerseys, with the Weber braai going to the highest-placed South African-based entrant.
Head on over to JustRugby to enter for the competition. Simply select one winning team each week and if that team wins or draws their Super 14 game, you stay in the running for the prize. Only thing is, you can only select each team once over the 14 weeks of the competition. We’ve given you a lifeline to make things a little easier, though.
If there is more than one potential prize winner left over at the end, we’re going to use Sharksworld participation as the deciding criterion. We’ll only look at comments posted from the day the Super 14 starts up until the day of the final, so get stuck in and join in the fun here to maximise your chance of walking away with one (or both!) of these amazing prizes.
Thanks again to the folks over at Weber for making this possible.

@robdylan (Comment 3) : Its like the only time a man cooks, isn’t it?
@rekinek (Comment 6) : you were right about Pretorius… although i think you gave him two games too many
@robdylan (Comment 8) : i was thinking 4 (preseason included).
i guess I was much closer in prediction than his coach.
I can always do with another Weber……I can invite more people to the S14 final
……and for those who don’t already own a Weber….it’s the best R 1 500 you’ll ever spend
….and I’ll love his and her’s Bulls shirts…..just joking, Sharks shirts.
@Pokkel (Comment 10) : with you on that one. I LOVE my Weber. I have the same one and it’s the best thing I’ve ever bought.
Even survives standing outside in the English winter
@robdylan (Comment 11) : and durban weather. i used to buy the imitations, the cooked poorly and used to rust badly. my weber has outlasted those others and it cooks things far better. only the screws have corroded a little. thanks weber and ksa for the prizes. ksa i’ll be nice to you until i am knocked.
so enjoy the next two weeks.
@molly (Comment 1) :
You wear it and it shows who you support.
@robdylan (Comment 11) :
Did the Weber people script that little Infomercial Rob?
Oh well, I guess we’ll find out how tough it is when I abuse it – after winning it obviously…
@try time (Comment 12) :
You’re also in on it … ?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 13) : phwoar! a BRANDED weber, now thats an idea.
@molly (Comment 16) :
@blackshark (Comment 14) : Anyone tough enough to survive to be the last man standing deserves a tough Weber.
Awesome prize!!
Thanks to all concerned.
Mine has been going for 11 years now and is still in great condition.
My brothers weber is about 14 years old, is a bit wonky, but thats after the goat jumped on it a few time.
Hmmmmm. I wonder
@robdylan (Comment 20) :
What are you wondering about?
@KSA Shark © (Comment 21) : it was a test comment. That obvious?
Its cool to be famous!!
Rob, am i allowed to enter??
@wpw (Comment 23) : sure. Only andre and I are ineligible for the prize
You didnt get it?
My surname is Weber…
@wpw (Comment 25) : I know
@Salmonoid (Comment 19) : Hey, that`s no way to talk about your brothers` wife!
This editing tool is cool.
Hey Rob, I just used your editing tool to fix up a non comment I made. Got so carried away that I just commented on the new toy. It is awesome.
@Original Pierre (Comment 27) :

She is Ukranian, says she will be visiting you soon.
For how long are messages editable after posting?
@Salmonoid (Comment 31) : 5 minutes
@robdylan (Comment 32) :
So I could come on here, say something about someones mother(ahem) and then edit it out within 5 minutes. Could be therapeutic.
@Salmonoid (Comment 33) : well, that’s not the idea (and, of course, you know that!)
The idea is to give you a brief window after the fact to fix errors, or to back out of something you said in haste. If the window is too large, though, the “conversational integrity” of the site will go out the window.
It’s the kind of thing that I think will work very well here, but would be abused on other blogs.
@robdylan (Comment 34) :
Agreed.
test test (edited test tes)
@rekinek (Comment 36) : this is
@robdylan (Comment 34) : so for the 5 minutes that I have to edit – can everybody see my unedited post?
@Salmonoid (Comment 28) :
Gives us five minutes to take our feet out of our mouths.
@Salmonoid (Comment 33) :
provided you haven’t had 10 responses to your comment already
@rekinek (Comment 38) :
