We at Sharksworld are 100% behind any team that plays in KZN colours and the Sharks XV is no exception. We have a hugely talented bunch of guys doing us proud in the Vodacom Cup and we’ve decided to really up the stakes when it comes to getting the supporters out in force.
Now since we launched the Sharksworld Points system a few weeks ago, many of you have been clamouring for new ways to boost your points total. We’ve decided to offer BIG points rewards for getting out there and supporting the Sharks XV during the 2010 Vodacom Cup campaign. They’ll be playing games at a number of venues around the country, so there should be ample opportunity for everybody (who is SA based!) to get out and see them somewhere along the line.
We’ll be awarding points as follows:
- Attend a Sharks XV Vodacom Cup game and provide us live score updates (via your cell phone, or whatever) and well give you 1000 points. You’ll need to submit a minimum of 5 updates during the game to qualify (the Sharks XV are going to score LOTS of tries, so you might battle to keep up!)
- Attend a Sharks XV Vodacom Cup game (or watch it on TV, if it’s on) and provide us with a usable match report and you’ll get 1000 points (this is in addition to the 100 you’ll get for posting an article)
- Send us a photo of yourself posing with a Sharks XV player and we’ll give you 500 points. If you’d like some help in finding out where the players are going to be after the game, certain administrators of the site might be able to help out with a hint or two Also, if you happen to see the guys at your local shopping centre, stop them, ask for a snap and let them know that Sharksworld is right behind them. That will count for points as well.
- If you can provide us some other irrefutable proof of attendance of a Sharks XV Vodacom Cup game, that’s worth 250 points. So a picture of yourself at the game, or a scan of a ticket, or something like that, will count.
Just in case you’re wondering where this is all leading, apart from the cure star icons and associated status here on the site, we’ll also be launching a range of Sharksworld merchandise later in the year. Gaining ranks on the site will entitle you to some free stuff, so start racking up those points and you will be rewarded in due course. Don’t ever let it be said that we don’t value your contributions here!
Let’s all get out and support Sean Everitt and the Sharks XV, starting this Friday at ABSA Stadium, against Border. Kick off is at 18h00 and the Sharks XV should really kick some butt.
White and black – nothing else matters!Tweet
