The Stormers host the Brumbies in Cape Town to round off Friday’s action
The Stormers are being talked up heavily in the media as usual this season, but this time around it is with good reason as they seem to be one of the two SA teams in with a real good shout early on in the season. The Brumbies have not shown any reason for either concern by either their fans or opposition with two average showings thus far.

A LOT more onesided than I thought it would be
@KSA Shark © (Comment 6) : Do you really think the Brumbies have been average in their first two outings !
@Hertford Highlander (Comment 7) :
Maybe average is not the right word.
They beat what is believed to be a very poor Western Force side in Rnd 1 and lost to the Very good bulls in Rnd 2.
So they have done nothing out of the ordinary so far to either show they are crap or show they are awesome.
Maybe not average but not as poor as the Sharks and not as outstanding as the Bulls.
Interesting fair enough i guess. I don’t think the Force will be a walk in the park at Perth, (the Chiefs may find that out this week) and lets face it everyone in the world is told from birth it’s impossible to beat the Bok at attitude. No one will beat the Bulls up there this year either.
I think the Brumbies have looked quite good.
Elsom in my opinion is the best player going around in this comp already if not the world, one to watch today.
They may give some real cheek today
@Hertford Highlander (Comment 9) :
it’s impossible to beat the Bok at attitude
Very Freudian slip there.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 10) : I laughed at the article this week on Brock Harris being a Bok tighthead….Stormers spin…surely no one believes that….he looks the weak link. Benn Alexander could have him tonight !
True we couldn’t beat them at altitude either.
Sorry for the confusion
@Hertford Highlander (Comment 12) :
Agreed. he has improved since before but is STILL not a Bok contender in my book, shows you how kak he was before.
@KSA Shark © (Comment 14) : Good call, right…. off to watch the match, may see you at halftime. Enjoy
@Hertford Highlander (Comment 15) :
Will do.
Bekker leads out the team for his 50th cap.
Go Stormers, win by 5. No more, no less, kapiche!
@Jarson’s (X + V) (Comment 18) :
Stormers over going to TMO
TMO calls it touch in goal as the ball touches the touchline and the ground at the same time.
Bobby spews as usual “I’m not sure the correct call has been made there”

I think Habana was expecting some heavy rain at Newlands. He looks to be wearing a life jacket or at a minimum arm bands.
