7:30. Wake up. Check 14 bookmarked rugby sites for any latest developments from team camps.
8:30. Arrive at work. Check for any team sheets released for fantasy rugby side. Get coffee.
9:00. Sit down at desk with coffee and check 14 bookmarked rugby sites for a subtle glimpse into a team strategy that will hand a slight Superbru edge over rival Superbru enemies (one of which you were best man at his wedding).
9:30. Feel that Ma’a Nonu is slightly out of form. Sell him from fantasy rugby side.
10:00. Check 14 bookmarked rugby sites for a slight glimpse into team strategy that will offer an advantage for a wildcard fantasy rugby pick at centre over rival fantasy rugby enemies (brother-in-law and house mate).
10:30. Analyze all team tactics to identify weekest defensive midfield combo which surely offers your opposing soon-to-be centre pick a massive points scoring opportunity.
11:00. Narrow options down to 3 centres.
11:30. Check 14 bookmarked rugby sites for any latest developments from the team camps.
12:00. Listen to voice messages. 13 of them. Phone 3 back.
12:30. Check team sheets. Only 8 out so far. Damn.
1:00. Go have a lunch with the enemy to suss out tactics and discuss the merits of preliminary Superbru picks.
2:00. Return to desk. Check 14 bookmarked rugby sites for any latest developments from the team camps. Decide that Lions 2nd team will offer great holes for a player of Mortlock’s calabre. Visit coffee machine to mull over selection.
2:30. Mortlock scores 3 phenomenal tries in your head while at the coffee machine. Buy Mortlock for fantasy rugby side centre.
3:00. Mail all mortal enemies to gloat at the immortal fantasy rugby team you have assembled for this weekend.
3:30. Check 14 bookmarked rugby sites for any latest developments. Brumbies team released and Mortlock is out with a broken ego. Log back into fantasy rugby to sell Mortlock.
4:00. Phone voicemail. 4 messages. Phone 2 of them back. Don’t listen to either conversation while failing at multi-tasking, trying to peruse team sheets for a suitable replacement centre. Curse Mortlock’s waste of a trade.
4:30. Alt-tab to a random excel spreadsheet with figures and graphs as boss walks around the corner and then as he leaves, Alt-tab back again to the bookmarked 14 rugby sites for any latest developments from the camps.
5:00. Start pursuading self that this week will be different for the Sharks and they could just pull off a big victory as everything finally clicks as much as a mouse during an online shopping spree!
5:30. Buy Callum Bruce after you psychologically convince yourself he will slice through the Reds defence like a Light Saber through candy floss. Mentally pat yourself on the back for such genius until you remind yourself again of the foolish Mortlock trade-wastage again. This could cost you dearly in the long run. This kind of beginnerness is not allowed. Vow to focus!
6:00. Scribble down version 8 of your preliminary Superbru picks and enter a fierce debate with self on the margin of game 3. Check 14 bookmarked rugby sites for any team developments. Scribble out game 4 margin and reduce spread by 8.
6:30. Go home. Flick through 6 radio stations for sports news.
8:30. Watch Boots and All. Enter fierce debate at the tv screen. No response. Naas doesn’t know what he is talking about.
9:30. Make Superbru picks.
10:00. Get phone call from Boss asking where annual report documentation is, deadline today. Shit.
10:30. Go to bed. Pray all 6 teams pull through.

  • Like team more balance than last week. John needs to stabilize our scrum, keegan will be his usual self. Riaan will be able to run straight for us. Goode must play a tactical game for us, cause just speaking to pat lambie he says the rain is popping up now and then. I might have put kankow on bench to bring deysel at seven, but we will see how it goes.

Jannie we had to chose between maybe giving away a penalty or two or going back the whole game, which would happen if john was at three, ben rob is dangerous.

I live in Rheinland-Pfalz on the Rhine river in a small wine village called Bacharach, named after Bacchus, Roman God of Wine.
