Fantasy League – important notice

For all playing the JustRugby Super 14 Fantasy League – please read.

Due to an unexpected error in the SA Rugby stats posted immediately after the game, the Chiefs-Reds game was incorrectly scored in the last round. Thankfully an eagle-eyed contestant picked this up and notified us on Sunday.

In order to correct the error, we needed to roll back the database, rescore the game and the round.

For those of you who made any changes to your teams on Sunday, those changes were unfortunately lost. This includes any player additions, trades, or changes to starting xv and captain. Please could you go back and check your team and make these changes again.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused. SA Rugby’s stats are usually spot on, but in this case, it seems we should have waited a bit before processing the game, just to let them iron out a problem on their side.

  • I really stuffed up my FL last week. I got so busy on Thursday that I couldn’t get to change my starting 15 (which had a lot of Bulls) and the evening I forgot….Dammit

  • @dawnwallenkamp (Comment 2) : in Last Man Standing, Bulls have to be the safest possible pick for round 5.

You would NOT say so if you look at the current picks madfe thusfar.

Without giving anything away i can tell you that the Bulls are the least picked team of the picks made so far.

My Top Four in order 1 Crusaders 2 Bulls 3 Brumbies 4 Chiefs

  • @Hertford Highlander (Comment 8) : Hello Hertford, That must have been tough to see your team go down like that. Stormers though are playing some great rugby.

Never mind I felt worse being a Shark supporter. We could have, should have won.

They face Bulls this week going to be tough. Then they did beat Cheetahs at altitude. Just that Bulls are even better than the Stormers so to face two top teams like that in a row is tough mate.

  • @Puma (Comment 16) : We definately SHOULD have won, Tahs got a try for a ball that was not even over the line and we did not get our penalty try. No justice!!! And its always the poor Sharks, I think they all jealous cos we have the most supporters

    My picks.

    Bulls
    Saders
    Brumbies
    Stormers or Canes.

  • @dawnwallenkamp (Comment 18) : Well that was never a try for the Tahs just before the break. Was not even grounded and behind the try line  How did the TMO give that? Shocking.

Should have been a penalty try too. Well we live and will still support our team. Who knows maybe we win from here on  Have to be positive now. ;-)

  • @Hertford Highlander (Comment 22) : I think Highlanders going to be tough to beat at home and my team have to face them there after next week.

Stormers have a very tough last 5 games in a row. So they need to win from here until then and try and pick up some bonus points on the way. Local derby against Sharks and Bulls will be probably the toughest games for them. Not sure why here in SA we just want to kill each other………hehehe. When we play a overseas team we can drop our guard but never against our own. All teams rise up for those derby games and very physical against each other all out war I tell you.

Just ask the Sharks, Cheetahs have our number too. ;-)

  • @Puma (Comment 26) : True…. I think the Sharks will get beaten by the Brumbies and may just beat us at home after returning from SA…..it hurts me to say it.

I agree re Stormers fixtures they will need to beat the Canes this weekend then it gets really tough for them watched them live 3 years ago in Dunedin ….and they just didn’t look interested.

  • @Hertford Highlander (Comment 28) : Stormers are a very good side this year. Not as good as the Bulls though.

Bulls do play Blues in Auckland and Chiefs in Hamilton. Those will be the two tough away games for them. They will beat Force and Reds though Reds are becoming some top teams bogey team ;-) Still think Bulls will only have two tough games. Chiefs and Blues think Bulls with their confidence up could be very hard to beat. Have to wait and see.

Stormers play the same teams. Think they should beat Force for sure and will have to see about the other teams. With them too think the kiwi sides will be their tough away games.

I think Canes may bounce back this weekend but see Stormers still beating them.

  • @Hertford Highlander (Comment 28) : I motto is always, never count out the kiwi sides. They could be down one week, but could come back the next to beat any team.

  • @Hertford Highlander (Comment 27) : Sharks have really talented players. Just not sure why we not winning. We really should have had two wins by now. Been unlucky. We played well in the last 20min on Saturday. So who knows maybe we could beat the Brumbies, but think the Brumbies are the best Aussies side. So will have to wait and see. Though the Tahs have played the best our of the Aussie sides so far. That game against the Bulls they were superb and could have beaten any team on that day. BUT they faced a brilliant Bulls side and just could not do it.

Bulls are looking superb this year.

  • @Puma (Comment 31) : Totally agree with you…..the Bulls too have looked superb. But when don’t they at home. Their forwards again this year look brilliant….BUT and from what i here in NZ people are started to work them out. People think they are a bit lightweight in the backs. Eg. Awesome halves pairing aside. Centres and wings Lightweight. Admittedly Olivier has been brilliant …but he hasn’t been smashed yet by a Nonu, Stanley, Freaun, Kahui type yet….and as for the wings they can expect the same treatment they look like boys. What do you think….is smashing them into next week in the backs going to work ? ;-)
