  • I guess that means that Burden is the loose-forward cover? Still not happy with that backline, it seems so ad hoc. I wonder why Waylon Murray is still in the wilderness? :/

  • @MerckZ (Comment 1) : Waylon doesn’t really deserve to be there IMO…he has just never got back to his game since he was injured…..or it might be because he’s not playing next to Barrit anymore….Barrit made Waylon look good IMHO

  • @MerckZ (Comment 1) : I think our locks are also covering flank. I just have a feeling that maybe Plum won’t make a change unless an injury forces it, but I don’t think he’ll put burden on 6.

  • Or maybe he will, I don’t know…it just doesn’t seem to have double cover for the locks…with no other reason than just giving the locks double cover…or something. :|

  • @Letgo (Comment 3) : I’m HOPING he will put Burden at 6. I said this after the 1st couple of rounds when Keegan and Botes where struggeling. Botes has since regained form but I would love to see what Burden can do at 6.

  • @MerckZ (Comment 1) : Yeah, but there’s some continuity with a 3 streak winning team, so I wouldn’t tamper with that just yet. The guys are starting to find each other and that’s important.

I’m predicting a big game for Lambie.

  • @Letgo (Comment 6) : I’d like to see Plum move Lambie to 10 to receive a couple of balls during the game….but I don’t think it will happen

  • @Pokkel (Comment 5) : If Burden does well at 6 then the Sharks needs to start looking for hooker back-up. Smit will retire after 2011, Bissie will be the only one left and he’s bound to chase after the “American Dream” just like the rest of the top players.

  • @Pokkel (Comment 7) : He already has done that since Lambie played in his first game against the Highlanders. A couple of times Lambie was first receiver, not a lot of times, but a couple. He definitely wants him to play there in the CC.

  • @Letgo (Comment 8) : Well we either then need to get another hooker or get another decent opensider because Botes will not be around for ever either and Keegan just seems too small for the job IMO. With the new law interpretation I think loosies need to be bigger and stronger so they can drive over the ball.

  • @Pokkel (Comment 10) : Your right, lets get Brossouw, he needs to play for the first team… unfortunately, after reading an interview of him, it seems that he doesn’t want to leave his beloved Free State, where he’s friends, family and home is.

Rob would probably tell us to look at the guys playing for the sharks xv right, but I never get to see them play, so I don’t know.

As far as hookers go, maybe we could get deon fourie, I like the look of this guy.

  • @Letgo (Comment 11) : I think there are a lot of good hookers around and even a lot of good loosies….now if we could only have that many flyhalves to choose from….I’m interested to see how Riaan Viljoen does at 10 this weekend because I think he’s a very good talent but I’m not sure if I can get myself to watch a whole Cheetah’s game

Sharks need to get a FAT cheque signed to buy one Craig Pfeifer from above mentioned team….SA 100m sprint champ built like Jonah Lomu. The kid is a monster and he’s got plenty speed and power.

How he’s still alive is one of those weird things in life – hard drugger just keeps going, but health freak dies on the treadmill.
