Now that the 4 semi-finalists have been decided we have the small matter of the last Man Standing possibles and probables.
Before the Sharks v Western Force game kicks off we have following people still in the running.
Alberton – Auto & General Lions
Blue Blood – Vodacom Cheetahs
Blue Kevan – Emirates Western Force
Bullebakke – Auto & General Lions
diabolical – Auto & General Lions
Dylanators – Auto & General Lions
Hertford Highlanders – Auto & General Lions
Hydras – Auto & General Lions
Palookas – Auto & General Lions
Sandkruipers – Auto & General Lions
The dream team – Vodacom Cheetahs
The Punters – The Sharks
WPW’s Poofters – Auto & General Lions
The teams in bold are the ones with all lifelines intact. Diabolical, Hertford Highlanders, Hydras, Sandkruipers and WPW’s poofters are the lucky ones at the moment. it pretty simple really, they have all chosen the Lions to win this weekend meaning they will either all be orange or all be green after this round. If the Lions win then they are the only 5 in with a chance at the prizes. If however they lose then the other players will all be brought right back into the mix.
This may be a little complicated, but stay awake and pay attention. If the Lions win then only The Green 5 will be in it, and no other players will be in contention. By default if the Lions lose then the orange players who have chosen the Lions will be dead so I will not use them in the following assumptions. Yes I DO know that assumption is the mother of all cock-ups.
Of the oranges “Stormers bo” has already survived his Rnd 14 match after picking the Waratahs to win. This leaves us with Blue Blood (Cheetahs), Blue Kevan (Force), The dream team (Cheetahs) and The Punters (The Sharks) who will POSSIBLY do battle, or as it turns out HAVE ALREADY been doing battle along with The Green 5 for overall honours since the start of the Super 14.
If you read the rules of the competition you will know that Rule #9 reads as follows: Should the pool stages of the competition be completed and more than one player is still standing then a tie break will be used to decide the winner. Any player having used a lifeline will be eliminated. If there is still more than one player left standing then participation in Sharksworld discussions over the course of the 2010 Super 14 will be the final tiebreaker.
Now we DO NOT know who has been the most active participant since the start of the Super 14 but, from my time spent on the site I would say that the players I have seen around the most are Diabolical (Diablo), Hertford Highlanders, The dream team (Richard Ferguson) and WPW’s poofters.
The final “count” will only take place after the Super 14 final, so there is still time for others to come into reckoning and some of our front runners to fall off the pace.Tweet
