Graeme Smith chose to bat under cloudy skies as South Africa chased a series win in what will only be the third one-dayer at Windsor Park. He made one change to the side that won the second one-dayer, bringing in Charl Langeveldt for Lonwabo Tsotsobe.
West Indies captain Chris Gayle said he would have preferred to bat first after two unsuccessful chases in the series. His job was made harder by the loss of Ramnaresh Sarwan and Nikita Miller to injuries.The one bit of good news for him was the return of the experienced Shivnarine Chanderpaul, after he missed the second game due to injury; Narsingh Deonarine had to sit out. The other changes to the West Indies side are the inclusion of Darren Bravo, fresh from a successful A tour of Bangladesh, and Sulieman Benn.
The weather forecast predicts scattered showers through the day, which means there could be another rain-interrupted match like the first game of the series.
West Indies: Chris Gayle (capt), Dale Richards, Darren Bravo, Dwayne Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Kieron Pollard, Darren Sammy, Denesh Ramdin (wk), Jerome Taylor, Ravi Rampaul, Sulieman Benn
South Africa: Graeme Smith (capt), Hashim Amla, Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers (wk), David Miller, Alviro Petersen, Ryan McLaren, Johan Botha, Morne Morkel, Dale Steyn, Charl Langeveldt

SA 113/3 after 22 overs.
AB Div 18runs off 19 balls
Alviro Petersen 0 runns off 3 balls
Disissed players are
HM Amla b Benn 34runs off 28balls
9.2 86.1 kph, chopped it on! Tossed up outside off, the ball skids on and Amla expects it to turn as he shapes to cut through the off side, he gets a inside edge on to the stumps 53/1
=============
GC Smith* lbw b DJ Bravo 29runs off 41balls
16.4 139.8 kph, Smith takes a middle stump guard and exposes his leg stump, Bravo bowls a yorker on the leg stump line and Smith fails to deflect it away to fine leg, the ball hits the base of the pad and Harper gives it out 91/2
=============
JH Kallis c Sammy b Benn 31runs off 41balls
21.3 89.7 kph, just a hint of doubt whether Sammy was in control of the ball long enough after taking the catch, Kallis cuts it on the up towards Sammy at point, the ball travels low and Sammy picks it inches off the turf, he caught it alright but he pushed the ball away after a couple of seconds, not exactly Gibbs in the 1999 World Cup but it looked clean enough on seeing the replay, Kallis lurked around for a few seconds and glanced at the umpire, he was prepared to walk and the umpire just checked with Sammy once again if it was clean – no arguments, settled 113/3
SCHWEET!!
Oubaas. Zim beat India.
@klempie (Comment 4) :
anyone notice a bookie or two at the game?????????????
135/3 after 27overs
NOT going to be a VERY high score
@KSA Stormer © (Comment 5) : They rested Tendulkar et al. But still. Good for us. They will lose some huge championship points in the ODI champs.
@KSA Stormer © (Comment 6) : With their batting lineup we could defend 220.
@klempie (Comment 8) :
That said. We may actually get to around 290 if you apply the “double the score after 30 overs” rule.
Yawn. Have all the players died of boredom yet?
@robdylan (Comment 10) : Go AWAY!!
We’ve won the last 4 matches thanks to your LACK of presence.
Petersen chops one on. 153/4
F*CK MAN!! Look what you did!
@robdylan (Comment 10) :

@klempie (Comment 11) :
@KSA Stormer © (Comment 12) : They’ve found 4 nuts in a row though.
@klempie (Comment 14) :
But if the WHOLE other team is blind then it would be easier.
You have to comend me for my restraint in not putting any tomato comment next to Smith’s score.
@KSA Stormer © (Comment 15) :
Aarrrgggghhhh
British Airways sucks!!
Miller strangled down the leg-side on the gloves.

@wpw (Comment 17) :
@klempie (Comment 19) :
I ONLY fly emirates.
Although I AM a little concerned my domestic flight in the US is with United Airlines.
They even charge for checked baggage. US$20-00 for the 1st checked bag and US$30 for the 2nd bag.
@wpw (Comment 20) :
Hit the Wimpy, making me jealous and them rich.
@wpw (Comment 20) : Why didn’t you fly out of Slaapstad?
@KSA Stormer © (Comment 21) :
Although I am still getting off lightly. If you fly Ryanair you have to pay to go to the toilet.
@klempie (Comment 23) :
He Did. now he is flying back to slaapstad.
@KSA Stormer © (Comment 21) : Where are you off to?
Abes whips a 6 off his hips over midwicket.

@KSA Stormer © (Comment 52) : Steyn really is the perfect fast bowler.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAND Done.
SA win by 67 runs and clinch the series.
What a waste! You`d think they`ll try to keep the series alive for the last two matches at least!
Dunno why klemps is so happy! The WI are useless and this series was always going to be won comfortably!!
Had it been against a top cricketing nation it would be a different story!
We need to face the fact that the Proteas are chokers! End of!!
