Heini Adams and Tiger Mangweni have announced that they will be leaving the Bulls.

Tiger Mangweni, fullback at the Blue Bulls, has been released for the remainder of the season to plavy Currie Cup rugby for the EP Elephants. His contract with the Bulls expires at the end of the Currie Cup season.

Heini Adams is winging his way to france, probably to see out his career. Adams will be playing Pro D2 rugby for Bordeaux who finished 9th this past season. The 30 year old who has 2 Springbok Caps has not played any test matches for South Africa. This move will all but signal the end of any chances he would have had of playing test Rugby for South Africa.

Details on a departure date for Adams are a little sketchy, but with Fourie Du Preez out for the rest of the season Adams’ departure will be opening the door for the next Bulls scrumhalf to make a name for himself, the question is just who it will be.

  • I’m surprised that Adams is already 30. I thought he was still a children.

  • @KSA Shark © (Comment 6) : he came on as a sub & score the try against the stormers…now john mametsa must leave, there’s nothing for him @ the blue bulls if he can play so well in the currie cup and then be trumped by a never-been like jaco van der westhuizen when the bulls need cover for gerhard van den heever.

  • So Adams finally woke up and realized that he was being used by the Bulls and so too Mangweni…
I can’t believe Tiger moved to the Cows cos he was never going to be a fixture in the side.
As Megatron says, the fact that Jaco was selected ahead of an out and out winger like John is just ridiculous!!

  • @wpw (Comment 14) : Agree with you and Megatrol about Mametsa. He proves himself everytime he comes on but instead the Bulle keep going with Wacko Jacko (my least favourite player of all time).

Mametsa should go somewhere he is valued. He is a fine player with a big heart.

  • If province aren’t careful it can be Conrad Hoffman a gr8 flyhalf aswell…or even Charl Mclaude…but maybe the will be looking to a RuaN sNYMAN…snyman like taking it up and mould into bulls rugby, where hoffman is a little justin marshall…I hope the sharks keep Charl Mcloud in the mix…I think the only Australian Half better than all our second stringers is Garnia…Good on Us Mate!!!

  • What about that dodgy looking winger with the bad haircut that was originally a scrummie that played so well? His name just escapes me now. Wouldn’t he move back into the 9 jersey?
