Western Province coach Allister Coetzee has made just two change to the team that will take on the Leopards in Currie Cup action in Potchefstroom on Friday night.
Rugby 365 reports that an injury to loosehead prop Wicus Blaauw has forced a change that sees JD Moller starting in the No.1 jersey, whilst hookers Tiaan Liebenberg and Deon Fourie switch roles as part of a squad rotation system.
Blaauw has a rib injury that will keep him out of action for the next two weeks, and his absence means there is a space on the bench for young back row starlet Yaya Hartzenberg who had a strong 2010 Varsity Cup for UCT.
WP have, again, opted for a five-two bench split – in terms of forwards and backs – but this week coach Coetzee has chosen just one hooker (Liebenberg), one prop (JC Kritzinger), one lock (Martin Muller) and two loose forwards (Hartzenberg and Pieter Myburgh).
Province are the early leaders in the 2010 Currie Cup and, unbelievably, are the only unbeaten side in the competition after only two rounds having been completed.
