If vd Heever was a Kiwi or Aussie he most likely would have been in the squad. That’s what I like about the AB’s and Aussies – they aren’t scared to reward form, even if it means throwing a youngster in at the deep end.

Van der heever was injured in the s14 final hence didn’t get a chance to test himself against wales & italy, you can’t dump the kid in the middle of a trinations fixture! Plus his defence is k@k, mvovo scored both his tries on his wing!

For Bissie players like Tiaan Liebenberg (the stand-out hooker in the S14) or Gary Botha come to mind.

There are a number of wings who could fill JPP boots without letting the side down, including a youngster like van den Heever and Aplon (who is a deserved replacement and probably our best backline player right now).

So what you guys are basically saying is that if we don’t have the six players that are currently injured available for the RWC next year we should simply accept that we’re going to get hidings from the AB’s and Aussies?

If you’re happy with that you’re more than welcome. I’m not, because I don’t buy the crap that out of a player pool as large as SA’s we can’t find decent enough players to replace the likes of FdP, or at least be intelligent and flexible enough to adapt our strategy so that we don’t need a kicking scrummie.

You could add CJ, BJ and Jannie to that list of yours!!

Our back-up players are nowhere near as good as we want them to be.

There is no other hooker in SA that comes close to Bissie.

For how long have we known we’d be without FdP, Bissie, JPP, etc. for the Tri-Nations? You want to tell me out of all the rest, many of which are world class players, we couldn’t find decent replacements?

The Super 14 showed what we have available, but did those in-form players and combinations get the nod? NO! Our injured players were replaced by inferior, out of form and out-of-position selections.

So I think to myself how is it possible that after the drubbing in Auckland do we go ahead and play exactly the same stupid rugby for two weekends in a row after that?

All I want is for it to be sorted out – I don’t give a shit whose fault it is.

SA rugby is generally not a forum for logic and facts; never has been.

this theory doesn’t take into consideration, form or injuries or fatigue. It is not based on even a morsel of sense, it just a perpetuated belief.

Everyone believes the Springbok should be klapping new zealand but what they don’t consider – in all their belief of the hype – is that even as far back as Hamilton last year where we narrowly beat the all blacks courtesy of 3 frans steyn beyond half way mark penalties, there was no visible class gap between us & them.

But don’t tell that to the passionate Bok fans, all of this is trite to them, their team should be winning finish & klaar.
