Ask Adi A Question

Moving on from players whose commitment to the Bok jersey is being questioned, we have set up a SHARKSWORLD exclusive with a man whose commitment has never been questioned: Adi Jacobs!

Please post any semi-coherent questions you would like to ask the affable centre, and we may ask it if you say nice things about us. We are also looking to squeeze him for some opinions on tomorrows games, as the interview is set up for Sunday.

So… ask away and we will be sure to grill Kraaifontein’s finest!

  • @Mole (Comment 11) : Just to add on i think Pat should only play inside again when we have no ther option…clearly he is best suited at fly and with our new signings he won’t have to play 12. But he is like Giteau in that he plays bladdy well at 10 and 12. Good to know we have many options at 10 and 12 now…awesome!!!

  • Some people still feel that you are better suited and more effective coming of the bench in the last 20 to 30min as an impact player. You played this role for the Sharks for quite some time and with great success, so I guess there is substance behind this believe. How do you feel about this?

  • You just had your 30th birthday…happy birthday!!! Are you thinking of retirement plans, or is that more a distant future type of thing for you. Stefan plays 13 and he’s what 36? Is that something you would like to do also, or would you rather choose the option of “going out at the top of your game”?

  • I’ve always wondered if players can remember a specific try or moment that stands out for them in their career, but you rarely get a different answer than, my first try for the Boks or Sharks, or the time we won this tournament. Is there a specific moment that stands out for you…other than the obvious. Something that we might not even remember, but was significant for you?

A hat-trick try on the hooter from Springbok wing Bjorn Basson gave Griquas a 40-39 (halftime 27-14) win over the Blue Bulls in their Currie Cup Premier Division match played at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria on Friday night.

  • The Vodacom Blue Bulls hosted the GWK Griquas at Loftus at 19:00 SA Time. This is the match thread for discussion of the game. The game was NOT BROADCAST live on TV in SA.

The Blue Bulls won by a single point, 39 / 38, after Naas Olivier missed the last conversion to win the game for Griquas.

    Bulls got out of jail….

Jaco van der Westhuizen nearly cost the Blue Bulls another game this season…..

(Despite what SuperSport and Brenden Nel says that Griquas won, they are wrong… it is official, the Blue Bulls won. Brenden Nel was not even here at the game with us, simple as that! Read What SAPA says, what JJ Harmse says, what Vata Ngobeni of Pretoria News says…. and above all believe me!)

Hopefully we’ll get frikie to join us in the next week or so and you’ll all se just why we’re so fond of him… The reason why we’re making a family effort on this site is because it’s quite simply the best rugby blog on the net – good job to all involved, keep up the good work!

  • @KSA Shark © (Comment 78) : By the way, my sons and I are fundamentally opposed to foul language and have learnt how to disagree (on the rare occasions that we do) with a modicum of decorum, so you’re unlikely to take offense to our comments.

Enough biography though, when’s the interview with Adi going to be availabe – this is a great concept, perhaps we can arrange more of these sorts of interviews.

    Excellent.

Vertel Asseblief vir Frikkie ons sien baie uit na sy bydrae. Ek stem saam, Rob se “brainchild” het net een of twee reels en dit is daai reels wat die plek so fantastiese plek maak

Net so terloops, vir watter span(ne) skree julle almal.
