It was a poor Rugby punting weekend if you are a Springbok or Sharks supporter. Here are the results from the article we ran on Friday, while the results are still fresh in the memory. Note that I made a mistake when hurriedly including a few soccer bets, not realizing the soccer is only this coming weekend.
Bet the Farm:
The Sharks had this game in the bag, and then ran out of steam to cost us the farm. We really had a good run going, and it was disappointing to see the bookies claiming another Ferguson farm.
Take a Chance:
I can’t really take any credit for this, as a friendly punter friend of mine said that the Lions were a good bet this weekend. Congrats to the Lions supporters, you deserved the win! Quite a nice return of 160% if you backed this result.
As mentioned above, it was a difficult weekend all round, with the Boks succumbing to another home defeat, something that we as Springbok supporters are not quite used to.
HH’s treble last weekend worked a charm, but this weekend went belly up as two of three teams lost. Both the losing teams were deemed as dead certainties, but we have come to expect nothing less from the ITM Cup.
Our second winning bet was that of the Cheetahs to beat Griquas by 5 points or more, and they delivered, if only just. The Cheetahs managed to win by the margin required, and we got a nice even money return.
Overall we got two out of five, and if you bet R100 on each of the above bets, you would have spent R500 and collected R460.Tweet
