John Plumtree has not hesitated to bring the previously injured duo of Louis Ludik and Keegan Daniel straight back into the Sharks starting lineup to face the Cheetahs in Durban on Saturday.
The team shows few changes to the outfit that narrowly pipped the Pumas last Friday, with Daniel replacing Jacques Botes at open side flank in the only change to the run-on pack. Botes moves down to the bench in place of the unlucky Skholiwe Ndlovu, who falls out of the 22. Michael Rhodes is retained as the lock replacement and completes the forward reserves together with the young duo of Kyle Cooper and Wiehahn Herbst.
There has been a fair bit of shuffling in the backs, with the outfit that performed so well up until Ludik’s injury now reunited. Ludik comes in at fullback, with Stefan Terblanche moving back to outside centre. Dries Strauss moves one place closer to the action, meaning a drop to the bench for last week’s 12, Riaan Swanepoel. Luzuko Vulindlu is the other squad member to drop out of the 22 this week.
