You know, something has just occurred to me. We’re (primarily) a Sharks site and yet we’re being surprisingly balanced and fair leading up to Saturday’s final!
That ends now! I realise the other parties (whatever their motives) seem hellbent on taking up the mantle of quasi-official Sharks cheerleaders, at least on Twitter, but it’s time for Sharksworld and her readers to stand up and show the world that there is only one true online home for the faithful. We are SHARKSWORLD. We support the SHARKS, through thick and thin. We were there for the 2008 final, we were there through the dark days of 2009. We were there through every loss and victory in the Super 14.
More importantly, we’ve beent here throughout this campaign and have flown our colours with pride even when the Sharks lost to lowly Griquas in the opening round. We have supported our team through the ups and downs and now we need one last push. The SHARKS are in the CURRIE CUP FINAL and yet shrinking violet syndrome seems to have set in in the worst way possible.
Come on, guys! The Sharks are going to take the cup on Saturday and we can all take a huge amount of satisfaction in knowing that the positive support they receive from their fans – especially those that hang out on Sharksworld, a site which many Sharks player read every day – has been a huge motivating and contributory factor in another successful Currie Cup campaign.
So don’t hold back… let’s use this thread to get ourselves warmed up PROPERLY for this final – a final the Sharks are going to win and win in style.
