Well, it IS called the silly season for a good reason after all!
Hot on the heels of our story yesterday about the defection of a number of the College Rovers squad to Tukkies, comes the news that one of the most promising of those players has had a change of heart. Sharksworld learned last night that popular prop forward Sabelo “Sabz” Nhlapo has turned his back on the lure of Tukkies and the Bulls and has committed his future to the Sharks.
Big Sabz, who attended Highlands North in Johannesburg, before going on to represent South Africa at junior level in both 2006 and 2007 (in the second row!) only recently converted to prop and really caught the eye in the Rovers team that won the recent National Club Championships title. Pat Cilliers’ move to the Lions has opened up a gap at loosehad prop in the Sharks squad, one which Nhlapo is keen to fill.
Sharksworld has managed to secure a frank interview with the soon-to-be 22-year-old prop, so watch this space; we’ll be bringing you the low-down on what prompted him to stay – and why – within the next few days.

Great news!
Good investigative journalism there Rob!!
Who comes up with these headlines?
@klempie (Comment 2) :
You have to admit, it works..

Wonder how Van Staden and Herbst feel about this . . .
@Original Champion (Comment 9) : I’m sure they’re happy knowing that loosehead prop is covered, leaving them to concentrate on tighthead
@Big Fish (Comment 8) :
Please have a Bratwurst for me with some Tommy mustard
Just in transit here – on my way to San Francisco, which is actually where Rob thought I was from when we first met, now that I think about it.
Nary a sign of a sausage in the lounge here. Disappointing. I guess middle-aged German businessmen are health-conscious nowadays.
@Big Fish (Comment 12) : You’ve got to mix with the plebs to get near a Bratwurst. Next time have a layover and I’ll buy you a Beer and a Wurst
You heading to the Valley, Fish? Or Frisco itself?
thats great news
@robdylan (Comment 14) : Rob please check ur email i need help with that one
@chaz (Comment 16) : good luck, chaz… I’m good, but I’m not superhuman!
@robdylan (Comment 17) :

(but let me now if anyone can help please i can wait
got a space up in the bar) waiting for a Sharks signed jersey)
@chaz (Comment 18) : the best bet is to get yourself to a game at the Tank next year and try catch up with the guys on the fields afterwards. Or join a local supporters club and attend an after-match function next time the Sharks are in your area.
@robdylan (Comment 19) : thanks
