  • @Richard Ferguson (Comment 19) : Looks liek game on. Those Aussie will never give up, fighters they are, especially in the cricket. Crici is the number one sport over there, their pride must have taken a dent the last few tests.

Actually hope Oz win this test to make it more interesting. Also don’t really want them to lose to England this series, cause if we lose to India England leap frog us into number two. So can’t have that. SO GO AUSSIE.. Never thougth I would support Oz but there you go, for a good cause, need SA to get to number one or stay at two.

  • @Richard Ferguson (Comment 26) : I don’t think we will either, but you never know. It could all change today and with so much rain about we have to win this one, cause in the next test here in Durbs I bet we wont see the full 5 days due to rain. See Cape Town also getting plenty rain and that is unusual for this time of year. So taking all that in to consideration. Remember too when India play here in Durbs it is like a home test for them. :x We had a damn good start yesterday so hope we keep it up for this test at Centurion. Might all come down to just this test.

  • @McLovin (Comment 113) : I love the snow and the awesomeness of it all, but having lived in Germany for 3 years now it has started to lose it’s lustre.

Not that I don’t appreciate the beauty, because I do, but I’m not the all smiles early riser, so shovelling my sidewalk every morning before first light, so that one friggin pedestrian can safely walk his matkakkertjie, is “working on my tietspiere”.

Then I have to scatter salt everywhere before I can go back inside to defrost in the shower.

  • @McLovin (Comment 118) : YIP, unfortunately that’s how it works.

I have to clear a strip of 1,5m of the sidewalk and keep it clear of snow, ice, leaves and other crap. It has to be wide enough so two people can walk past one another without treading in snow and I have 100m of sidewalk to clear, hence the grumble.

If someone slips and falls on your stretch you are liable, so just about everyone has Public Liability Insurance.

Here is the German Rugby Association’s website. http://www.rugby-verband.de/cms/

To ze Germans it’s a matter of pride to have a neat, clean sidewalk so they don’t mind doing it. One can buy self-propelled lawnmower-type machines everywhere but they still prefer to do it manually. There is also the chance that someone will complain about the noise and air pollution, so that’s probably a consideration.

  • Interesting stat on Kallis. He has an average of 56. However, his average score, resuming the next day, is only 43. He really tends to battle to start again in the morning.

A really poor over rate from India. Considering they started early and ended late they still didn’t bowl 90 overs.
